Hi i havent been on here in a while, but i am still waiting for an outcome with lloyds tsb which is now just over 16 weeks, and capital one, 10 weeks.
I have been on holiday and in the time i was away i recieved a leter from capital one asking for my P60 from 1993 to prove i was working, i have had a search and the oldest one i can find is 2003, does this mean this is now a lost cause and they get away with it or could i send this one (or a copy of this one) and just see what happens.
    Thanks lyn

Have just sent off my acceptance letter ....... successfully reclaimed just under £3500 from RBS. :j Loan taken out in 2002, PPI mis-sold on the basis I was told I HAD to take out the insurance otherwise I wouldn't get the loan agreed !

Time taken from sending off inital letter to getting refund offer letter was about 3 weeks so a pretty speedy claim !

Huge thanks to MSE and contributors for the wealth of guidance and inspiration. :money:

Money will be going into ISA in readiness for holiday spending money in 2013 :D :T

If all you have are the account numbers and M&S say they do not have records this could prove hard to make the claims, are these loans and what years were they taken out?.

They will need the p60 for 93, I don't think they will accept one from 10 years later.

Have you tried the tax office? I don't know how far they keep records for they may be able to show that you worked and paid tax in 93, you can't get a copy of a p60 I m afraid, unless it was in the last 3 years and your employer could give you one, your best bet is the tax office.

If TSB did not give a final response in 2011 then make the claim again and see what happens, if it was a final response, you have passed the 6 months given for you to take this to FOS or back to the bank.

The year this was taken out may be tricky, but TSB replied last year so you may have a claim, do you have any agreement numbers or statements? they may help if you can put the claim in again.

It is possible that they will give the same answer as previous so be aware of this.

Hi just wondering if someone can help us. My other half has received a letter from the ombudsman saying a company has agreed to refund premiums paid plus interest at 8%.
This was for personal income protection that wasnt wanted but couldnt have the loan to buy a car without.
The plan started in December 1995 and the last letter is dated 1999 but hes unsure if this could have continued longer.
There was a monthly payment of £9 for all this time and maybe longer.
Neither of us are particularly good at maths and just wondered if someone could roughly work this out for us so when they send the offer letter we have a clue as to whats what. Thank you :)

It depends on what information they have regarding this loan, they may pay the premiums back and the 8% or, due to the year they may just make a goodwill gesture, you will have to wait and see what they do.

When they send the offer, post the details up and someone will look at this and let you know if it is correct.
