PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Hi I have been turned down by MBNA too because they said I ticked the box but you could see the box was automatically ticked on the application form, but off to the ombudsman with them, I will win in the end.:D
Stick with this i took MBNA to the Ombudsman in February, they upheld and the cheque was in the bank early August, the Ombudsman give average timescales but it doesn't mean it will take that long.
Sent another over Barclays in May, this has also been upheld just waiting for figures, only one left now this has been with the Ombudsman since June so my journey is nearly at an end once a decision has been made. Journey started 12 December last year 6 Claims 3 paid by the relevant companies, 3 with the Ombudsman 2 already upheld, one to be decided, and still all in less than 12 months.
Patience is a virtue i have little of, but, have used in these cases and it has paid dividends . . . . don't give up

I completed the official fsa ppi document and sent off to natwest on behalf of hubby, he wasn't aware he'd ever had ppi but he's not up to speed on that kind of thing. didn't even have account details but knew he'd had a mortgage loan and credit card with them. natwest did request £10 cheque for data release but we paid up. got a reply in today's post to say they're offering £3,250 which covered ppi he'd had over four loans. he'd not even realised he had it!
if in doubt, still apply. I am awaiting a reply from first direct, I was convinced I'd never had ppi but after enquiring it turns out I had it on three loans.....will let you know how I get on....

I sent off a copy of a loan agreement i had with Black Horse which was cleared in 2004 - it had ppi, which i was told i needed to take, hence my claim. They replied within the week to say they can' t find my details. I have no other documents relating to this and have moved bank.
I thought a copy of the original loan would be sufficient.
Any ideas?0 -
did you also complete the fsa form, if not I'd complete that then send off with another copy of your loan agreement.0

it depends on whether the agreement had enough details to identify your account details. Not all have account numbers. The other issue could be that they have destroyed their records as it was 8 years ago.
Do you have anything stronger as a complaint reason as it is just hearsay.
