Hello all have not posted since I got my PPI offer of £540 from Barclaycard in March. After a lot of going back and forth with them over a name change and change of address and then my acceptance getting lost on the system I finally received a cheque off them last week. So do not give up folks you do get there in the end. I am now going to try and get back my bank charges back from Bank of Scotland which they previously refused so I am going to give it another try!!
  • did they ask any questions about why you wanted to claim etc??

No I used the template found on here no questions asked. The only problems I had was with my identity and then some mix up with processing the payment.
  • Thank you, sending letters off!

    Good luck!
I also received £685 from Alliance and Leicester in 2009 for PPI from 2006. I am not hopeful about Bank of Scotland as these are overdraft, bank charges etc but I am going to try again anyway!
  • Since 2004 I've had 6 loans from Egg, all with PPI. I filled in the PPI questionnaire for each loan and posted them to Egg last week. Today I received a letter from them saying that my complaint has been upheld and they have worked out that they owe me £4417.59. I'm still in shock as I never really expected to get anything back. I just need to send them back a signed confirmation that I'm accepting their offer, so a visit to the post office is a must today!! I'm so glad that I did it myself and didn't use one of them PPI reclaiming companies, it really is easy enough to do yourself! :j
  • Thanks for the templates. I got so sick of putting the phone down on claim companies I FINALLY sent off letters, using the template, to Northern Rock (personal loan) and Leeds (mortgage). Today I got a refund of £3037 from NR. Am particularly pleased with that one as it was over ten years ago. Ben meaning for ages to go through the annoying piles of bank records that take up far too much space in my weenie flat - now I'm really grateful for not chucking them out sooner as I still had all the documents to support my claim. Not heard back from Leeds yet but that was more recent so maybe I will be lucky again!
The templates made it very easy and i highly recommend doing your own claim - dont pay those dodgy companies a penny, it really wont kill you to try it yourself!:j

Congratulations! Last week Tuesday I sent my ppi questionaire to egg and havent had a response or anything. Your case fills me with hope. I have sent mine to an address called Canada square operations. Is this the same as you?
  • offer on its way from welcome finance for £728.23 just need to wait for the paper work to arrive .
after talking to my friend about this aft shes looking into a claim with welcome herself and goin to dig out paper work this wk end then im going to go thro it on monday with her.she has said however that she fell behind with her payments and is now paying scotcall so much a month to pay it off.so would any refund she gets(if she does) be used to pay off any outstanding she owed or should the money be refunded to her as she says the debt is with scotcall now and not welcome(if that makes sence)im sure i read somewhere on here or other ppi forums what would happen in cases like these but cant remember where it was and i personally think it will be used to pay off the debt but not 100% so any help before i go round on monday would be a great help xx

Today i received a reply from the FOS ref Momument.
    The conclusion was
Monument is not required to refund the Payment Break Plan (PBP) charges paid by Mr Harte. However, it has offered to do so,which goes beyond what the FOS would recommend in the circumstances. Monument has offered to refund 98p, which is reflective of the total charges plus associated interest.
    Fail!
I still have a barclaycard with the FOS hopefully that goes in my favour even if i do have to wait a year
