So if you send off paperwork initially and havent had any acknowledgement for over 6 weeks they still have time to get back with a decision or request for further time inside the 8 weeks guide line then ?

I would contact them and ask if they received the complaint, I would have thought they should have at least acknowledged the claim by now
  • Hi all

Been a long time just a quick question .

I got a pay out for my morgage PPI in June and signed a form to cancel the standing order 2 months later I contacted Sandander to say the monies is still being taken out of my account there reply was sorry and we will stop the SO and give you a full refund in two weeks fair enough since then the no refund and the SO still being taken out my account rang them another 4 times with the same reply should I just cancel the SO myself online and when I finally get the refund will they put intrest on top ? .

    Hi all!

Last weekend I received a letter from HFC Bank (currently dealing with claims from Beneficial Finance') agreeing to offer me £1,477 back for mis-sold PPI!

awesome news, however, I am just wondering if anyone knows how long, on average they take to credit the refund to my account. I called yesterday and they told me they had received my acceptance letter on 03/10. And could only tell me the basics of "up to 28 days".

I was just wondering if anyone has any more information on this and even anyone who has had a payout from HFC before, and how long it took.

    Thanks!

Just an update from me. So in total, i receieved 8 offers, totalling a smidgen over £16,000.

I sent the offer letter back last week and the money was in my account yesterday! Now thats amazingly quick.

All for the sake of one letter and a 15 minute phone call too!

Cancel the SO with your bank, Santander should give you the payments you made before you cancelled with the interest on those.
  • Hi All,

Just thought I'd update you with my story. I am a bit if a slow starter with all this PPI reclaiming. Hugely sceptical, I couldn't remember the circumstances, all my paperwork in storage...etc. to be honest, claiming seemed like a big pain with a very limited chance of success.

Nevertheless, after reading some articles on here, I felt a bit inspired, specifically when I realised that neither my husband nor I had ever been asked about pre existing medical conditions - which my hubby has one that most standard policies wouldn't pay out on (we have recently found out!)

So, I wrote a few letters, have been pretty appalled by how some of them have been handled so far (Capital One & Barclaycard!), and am yet to hear from most. However, yesterday I did hear back from Black Horse Finance. As I said, I expected fob off after fob off, but, I was absolutely astounded that they offered me £12100.52!!!! - I didn't even realise that we had paid that much!!

This has renewed my determination to keep on the outstanding claims, but if you are like me and really can't be bothered as you think it's worthless....IT'S NOT!!!!!

Thanks for all the inspiration everyone - you have just gotten my little girl a trip to Disney for Xmas!!

What were you reclaiming: Personal Loan PPI
    Who was the provider: Natwest
How much did you get back: £15,871.82

One letter to Natwest to find out if I had PPI on my loans, then one phone call to lodge the complaint. 6 weeks later the letter arrives offering £15,871.82.

I am absolutely over the moon & can not stop smiling!!

I encourage everyone to start the ball rolling with this, if it wasn't for MSE I would never have done it.

    Thank you so much!! :j:j:j:j:j

Blimey, how big was your loan and for how long???
  • Hi Guys,
I am a bit slow here with reclaiming PPI, but now I am going to (after years of saying I would) Again I am slow, so, do I send a covering letter with the payment protection questionnaire or just the questionnaire?(step 3) Secondly, does anyone know about Aasf Unemployment cover, I have it just found out it is on one of my loans, can I claim back for this? I have cover with my pension.
