In every case all I sent off was the PPI questionnaire, no covering letter.Hi Guys,
I am a bit slow here with reclaiming PPI, but now I am going to (after years of saying I would) Again I am slow, so, do I send a covering letter with the payment protection questionnaire or just the questionnaire?(step 3) Secondly, does anyone know about Aasf Unemployment cover, I have it just found out it is on one of my loans, can I claim back for this? I have cover with my pension.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

Back in March i decided to apply, using templates from MSE, to see if i was eligible for this PPI lark. I was particularly abusive to a couple of credit cards over the years so sent one off to MBNA. They were great with their contact letters but then finally in April (Within the 8 weeks) they sent their decision and upheld my complaint and wanted to refund me. When i read the figures i fell off my chair with almost £4k of refund but nearly £13k of interest. My total refund was a few pound short of £17k. Thank you so much.
I have since sent claims to Barclays and Amex who have both said no but i have again followed the templates and sent them off to the FOS who are now looking into it for me. Happy Days:j0 -
Hi sparkle_66
I made my claim the middle of August. Still waiting for the money but they say it should be in my account sometime next week.0 -

It's been 10 weeks now, tried chasing it up a few times & they sent a copy of their original decision even though I sent proof & a letter of explanation.

Hi all - Just an update on my ppi loan claims.
I have phoned Santander today it's been 4 weeks I have not had any acknowledgement - was told that 8 weeks is the limit and they should be in touch with me by then.
So it looks like they are just going for the 8 weeks with no acknowledgement that they have received my claims.
Wanted to let you know as I could see a number of you asking about this.
So it looks like a bit longer to wait. Will keep you posted!:)0 -

Hi All
Three weeks ago i rang Natwest bank and requested info on any loan i had in previous years with them. One week later they sent my a list of loans that had been taken out since early 90's. I then gave them a call back and filled a complaint against the ones that had ppi on them. Today i recieved a letter to say as the loans were many years ago and the time scale to claim on this had been left so long (21 yrs) to be exact . As a gesture of good will without taking responsibility they wanted to make me an off of £1,500 . Just wanted to let u guys know how easy it is to do this your self and the short space of time that this was dealt with .
Thankyou very much Natwest that was well worth the phone call .

Have you got any paperwork ie loan agreements or bank statements showing the initial loan transaction?
You may want to try a sar request it costs £10 but you may find there's more ppi than there offering......0 -

Grrr! Just finished a phone call to Nasty West asking for an update on my claim...to be advised they are rejecting my claim and defending their position:mad: The guy I spoke to said a letter is on it's way explaining and was that ok? err...no not really, but let's see what the letter says before I respond!!! I really am determined to get something back from this outfit after they were so quick to issue a CCJ against us when we experienced financial difficulty!!
So letter received from Gnat West rejecting my Credit Card PPI claim. They say that the policy was given on a 'non-advice'basis and that therefore they did not need to verify that it was right for me. They have no evidence to suggest that I requested this, and said that it was my responsibility to cancel the PPI using the insurance certificate (which I never received). They also contradict themselves in the letter by saying that I made an informed decision to take the PPI however they do not have evidence to support this. As for informed? How can they say that when they automatically applied the PPI to the account  Anyway...next stop the Ombudsman for this lot!!!Debt at Sept 2006 £63,500:eek:
Debt at Sept 2012 £24,400
DFD Dec 2012! (if PPI claims come in) !!
