Because I am at the 15 weeks and 2 days point, (which leaves them just 3 working days next week to make a decision), I decided to telephone them this morning. I am really glad I did. She said it is in the final stages of the 2 loans I put in for, and a letter will be sent out by the 29th. She said it is a favourable outcome, which she said I will be accepting, she thinks.
Yes, I know I have to wait for the letter, and then the payment to arrive one way or the other....but.....its a worry off my mind, I should be able to pay a few outstanding bills when it does arrive.
Happy days!!
I hope this update is of help to anyone else out there reading this and is also in the final few weeks. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. :j
Another Lloyds Update
Letter finally arrived yesterday (17 weeks to the day), so I now know how much I will be getting. Just waiting for the money which should be within 28 days it says.
Just goes to show patience is a virtue...17 weeks is a long wait for a result, but it was well worth it in the long run.
Good luck to you all. :T:wave:Hi I'm new to the forum. :hello: Please be gentle. :j0 -

Ive bin following your case on here waiting for you to get sorted. Im on wk 7 with lloyds at the mo and was told on tues that the we need more time letter is om its way so im hoping its a good sign and they need to have a whip rnd for my payment lol. Has any1 else on here had that letter then still got refused??0 -
Also ment to ask you littlediamond did lloyds phone u at any point to check your claim as ive seen ppl mention it on here but i havnt had 1 yet0

Hi I had a call today from BOS regarding my claim they asked me if I could remember the conversation at the time of my loan, I said at this moment in time I could not remember what was said as this was 7 yrs ago. Did I say the right thing or should I have said that I was advised that I had to take out PPI with the loan as I could well have been0

LLoyds tsb called me at week 6 to ask several questions about my claim several weeks ago.
I gave them all the information and the guy said he would be working on it this week and I would be receiving a letter with their decision.
Letter arrived 3 days later rejecting the claim and listing numerous reasons, which reading back over previous posts, seems to be a standard reply letter of rejection.I have written back giving them 14 days to reconsider or it will be going to the Ombudsman, which will end up costing them more money.
Seems LLoyds reject more claims on the first round than any other which seems very pointless as it just costs them more in the end although I expect they hope a percentage will not persue it after a reject.0 -

Hi Peanutbutter_cups (love that name by the way)
Yes they phoned me. Don't worry, not everyone gets a call.
My timeline
13th June: Telephoned in my complaint, got an acknowledgement the following week.
26th July: Got a call to chat over the details. Mine was complicated they said.
Received the further 8 weeks letter the following week.
10th October: received the offer letter.
Payment due within 28 days...
Good luck with yours...I will keep watching your updates. :T:wave:Hi I'm new to the forum. :hello: Please be gentle. :j0 -

Hi, new to the whole PPI thing but decided to take the plunge!
My wife and I have had various loans/credit etc... but has anyone been successful with Mortgage PPI from Chorley & District Building Society?
Also, can I claim back from an old mortgage with Abbey National if i dont know the account nr etc???
Also, how do I claim back from MBNA with no account nr etc...
Is the best way to speak to Lloyds by filling in the questionnaire or a phone call??
Sorry for all the questions!0 -
Finally, after 3 "on yer bike" letters, today I got a letter advising my complaint has been upheld - Hooray :j
Still waiting for the full details of the offer and they say it can take another 12 weeks due to the company being a broker and them having to liaise with the loan company, however I don't care and will continue to wait patiently.
They have detailed they will be putting me back in the position as if I had never purchased the policy, and as the loan is still running I understand all that will come to me is the interest but its better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
I really started to believe it was never going to happen for me so I am well pleased.:D
Hopefully I can get something in time for christmas.
As an aside the three rejections are still being pursued, nationwide is with FOS due to it being a single payment loan. House of Fraser & Debenhams being storecards and from the late 90's are a bit more complex and I need to contact the underwriters (all enveloped up & ready to go).
Keep the faith and be patient0 -

I just phoned Lloyds ppi claim line, with just 1 loan number, and they found the other one.
