Hi,
I went onto the Noddle.co.uk site, registered for free, and they give you the last 4 digits of the account numbers. This has helped me, and it seems a few others also.
Hope this helps too.:)PAD - Barclayloan - £3078.32/£3758.32

Did you click on the 'Closed Accounts' tab? It took me a while to find it and all of my old ones were on there.PAD - Barclayloan - £3078.32/£3758.32

Hello,
I have recently paid off my card to the tune of £2,600. When actually looking at my payments, I have been making a 'repayment cover' of over £17.00 per month that a lady on the phone at Halifax said was PPI!
I have followed MSE and asked for the original agreement and Ts and Cs which apparently are on the way to me.
I took the card out in 2008 and I was wondering if someone who has succeeded could walk me through the process???
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Best regards

Hi All! Just thought Id share my story of success!
What were you reclaiming?: Loan
Who was the provider?: Barclays
How much did you get back?: £7000.66
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman? Sent in Questionnaire
Reclaim Tale: I sent off PPI claim form on the 7th of August. Received on call from Barclays on the 15th of August to confirm my reasons for miss sell. On the 25th I received a letter asking me to go into a Barclays branch to update my information i.e Name and address as I hadn't banked with them for a while. Then today i received a cheque to the sum of £7000.66! I am still in shock. Was hoping to get a little something back so this is a lovely surprise!
So all in all it took just under 4 weeks. Was expecting it to take a lot longer so I feel very lucky that my claim was very straight forward and dealt with very quickly.
Good Luck to all you with claims in and to those thinking about doing so, please go ahead and do it if you feel you have genuinely been misold PPI.
And a big thank you to all the forum members. The information I have read on here has been invaluable to my claim.
Many Thanks MSE!0 -
Hi
Adjudcator had upheld my complaint and HSBC have agreed to pay PPI on loan and credit card for 6 years.
I started these in 2000 and they were passed to collection agency in 2005, so going back 6 years from now they would have no records.
FOS have gone back and asked HSBC for a figure as they state they say this sometime then when pushed they magic up records..
Anyone had or seen this before, as I have raised if they had upheld 2 and half years ago they would have had records...
They say if i reject offer the can get ombudsman to issue formal offer, but how does that work if no one has any records
Just wondering if anyone had a similar situation
Many thanks0 -
hi folks
it seems very quiet on here recently is the furore over about PPI or what?
hardly any lloydstsb successes or failures i am still waiting though it will be 11weeks on thursday gonna ring if nothing in post but i think they are playing hardball now they have had enough paying out.0 -
I wrote a handwritten letter to HSBC, quite convinced that I would need to fill in forms etc. It was very basic and I argued that a) the bank knew I had cover at work and b) they didnt ever give me a choice. To be honest I sent it and then completely forgot it, as I say expecting to have to fill in copius numbers of forms. A letter came on Saturday and I have had a payment of just over 9 thousand, which included an 8% hike for interest.
I couldnt believe how easy it was. So just do it yourself!0 -

Hi.... Don't worry I am still waiting too. Mine is 12 weeks tomorrow. I rang yesterday for an update, and guess what.....yes...it's still being investigated. I have noticed too that there has been no successes or failures lately from Lloyds. Perhaps the people working there on the claims have been on holiday for a couple of weeks. I don't know whats happening, but I am trying to be very patient. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Here's hoping we hear from them soon with some good news!!:wave:Hi I'm new to the forum. :hello: Please be gentle. :j0
