  • Thanks Martin and Wendy,

I have just received a letter from Egg containing an offer of over £5500 for CRP (PPI) premiums, interest on premiums and interest on time my account would have been in credit had it not been for PPI payments. Hmm... I might just accept.

I first tried for a refund a couple of years ago, but was turned down. Now, using the FOS questionnaire template on your website, it has taken just two weeks to achieve success.

    Cheers

I telephoned the Lloyds TSB PPI complaints line for an update today on a complaint I made on the 13th July 2012...and have I been offered £6,818.18...I accepted over the phone as I wasnt expecting that much. Not sure how long it will take to go into my account though?

Good luck everyone with their complaints :j:T:rotfl:
    hi there
congrats on your offer this is great news for you spend it wisely.
my complaint goes back to 21st june and i had that dreaded extra 8 weeks req by lloyds at the beginning of this month to give me a judgement so today is end of week ten so hopefully not much longer but i dread the answer as its taking to long.
    but good luck to you.

Wow that was very quick to sort out congratulations, my complaint went in just after notamoneygrabber on 25th june i also had the dreaded extra 8 weeks required letter from lloyds, hubby had a rejection letter after 5/6 weeks :( we have sent a responce letter to that, but may well get in touch with the FOS about it. i phoned Lloyds today just to see if there was any update on my claim but there wasnt, oh well i need to be more patient lol, i also phoned Capital one as i sent a claim to them just after i sent my lloyds claim, i spoke to a very nice lady who appologised for the delay but they were still working on it and reminded me they have untill the 14th sept to respond so fingers crossed for both .

    lyn:)
  • I filled in Barclays' forms so that they could check all of our accounts for any unwanted PPI, got a standard letter back saying they'd be in touch by the end of August. We've heard nothing since.

I tried to call them last night but got nowhere, the people on the other end were hopeless.

Does anyone have a contact number for them? I was put through to what was supposed to be PPI but the woman just kept asking me for the credit card number, I don't even have a Barclaycard

Thank you, just rang the number, it's specifically for Barclaycard but at least they could confirm whether there was anything owed from a card, which there wasn't.

    Hi everyone

After reading the post by liesa030 I decided to call Lloyds today as I made my initial complaint to them on 18th July.

I was advised that my two complaints (both loans) had been upheld and I had been awarded £2285.00.

One of the loans was from 1997 & the other from 2001. I filled in the FOS form and wrote to them also. They advised a letter was sent to me on 28th August with my offer.

I will have closure on this when I receive the money that I am owed into my account.

My reasons were that I didn't know I had PPI, I didn't need PPI ( was in Army at time of first one) , both were paid off early and the PPI was front loaded so it was no benefit to me. I requested a prompt and effective investigation. I have had no call clarifying my points and as I have stated above I wrote to them and sent an FOS form , this has been sufficient for them to investigate accordingly.

Good luck everyone :) & if anyone knows how long it takes for the money to be paid please could you advise? Thanks

Hello - first time poster responding to Queenie50's £8k success from Yorkshire Bank - Congratulations ... I have a number of barclayloan agreements from 1989-1996 and 2 HFC loan agreements from 1993 & 1995 all showing PPI added to the loan which I assumed was mandatory to get the loan back then. I thought I read due to the old dates (ie pre-FSA and pre GISC ?) that my claims would be rejected but appears your claim from the early 1990s was upheld - did you face a long battle to win ?

You have the paperwork, put the claims in, Single Premium is the reason that you use, the full cost and unfair rebates will not have been explained to you at the point of sale to make an informed decision, there have been wins from the 90s, get the claims in you have nothing to lose.

Hi Amersall, the letter doesn't say how much the PPI was. The insufficient evidence was I think that they don't think I was sold it unknowingly or unfairly.
But my main complaint was that I booked an appointment in my branch to cancel the PPI and when I went there was a panel of 4 people to talk me out of it. The branch manager asked me if my parents were wealthy because if I died my debt passed to them to pay off.
I went through all the details with the PPi man and he asked loads of questions but its not even mentioned in the report as part of my complaint let alone any findings he has made.

Is that worth persuing do you think?

    Thanks
This is hearsay and as you have no proof of the conversation, you have hit a stumbling block, they are offering you redress but don.t think you were mis sold?, if you have no paperwork for this loan and the bank don't either then you have to decide if you want to take this further.
