Need advise on this I sent a sars in and forgot about a loan I had for7.500.00. in 2004 The bank had me sign up for PPI and I dont rember having this which they charged 1.997.87 on the loan

In sep 2005 I paid the loan off with my morgage and got a rebate of 1.395.06 for PPI and charged early settlement ajustment £173.26 plus interest.

Can I still get the differance in PPI and is the ajustment fee anything I can claim for:search::question:

The more i read on here the more I think that it is pot luck if you get your claim upheld. I am not holding out much hope for my Loan one they have declined the credit card. The hard facts are that they did miss sell and they should just do the right thing by their customers.

Look for more evidence and write back to say you don't agree with there decision. Look at why you been miss sold and ask advise here. Fight back its your money. Dont let them win

  • Hi all,

I received a questionaire from ocean almost 4 weeks ago asking me to fill it in as I may have been mis sold ppi. I filled it in and received a reply saying they are looking into it.

I took out a secured loan over 25 years for 25k and paid a single payment added to the load of 15k!!! which I didn't realise only covered me for 5 years and cost 5k and the other 10k was interest added on!!

Does anyone think I'm in with a good chance of receiving a refund? and maybe a full refund at that...? Any advice would be much appreciated, especially if you have been through something similar.

    Thanks lilminx

  • Hi, I am new to all this, my PPI policies were taken as separate items by companies (brokers) when taking out vehicle insurances.
I am self employed and I wonder if the PPI policies would ever pay out.
One states that as a self employed person I would need proof from the bank and HMRC that we had ceased trading. If we got to that position we would not be able to make the monthly premiums. This would render the policy void (cancelled). Is this mis-selling?

The other possibility I heard from FoS was that it may be possible, in respect of GE,to go for the underwriters.

1 upheld and 1 rejection from Barclays. They're saying they have sent 2 further rejection letters (17th July apparently) however we have not received them. They say they won't resend the letters, could this be tactics on their part to make it more difficult for us to go to FOS?
    Thanks
