just got home and i have a letter dated 2/8/2012 from the lloyds with the following words--i am writing to update you with our progress concerning your ppi complaint.IT IS POSSIBLE THAT YOU MAY HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED OF A FINAL DECISION PRIOR TO RECEIVING THIS LETTER.IF THIS IS THE CASE WE APOLOGISE AND WOULD ASK YOU KINDLY DISREGARD THIS LETTER.they go on to say it could take a further 8 weeks to resolve the complaint .this is due to the high volume of claims being received blah blah blah
what do make of that ?
its as i feared still at least not been rejected YET
This is the exact same letter i got a couple of weeks ago, seems like a general thing for tsb customers at the moment. So frustrating when you keep reading about people getting results in mere weeks. Oh well, juts got to keep those fingers crossed0 -

agree with your thoughts but i am feeling a little gloomy lloyds do seem to be hard balling and thats worrying.
we had another claim over another type of insurance but after a phone call today we have learned that has been turned down so thats going to appeal and then the ombudsman if needed.
but one positive out of all this we are to date certainly a lot better off 9 months down the line when we first started claiming PPI.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL
Was the one that got turned down with Lloyds as well?0 -
Longy
Many thanks for the update - so pleased for you!
Weirdly I had a very brief 3 line letter from MBNA dated 25th July (came on Saturday) saying they were giving themselves 28 days to look at my complaint again!!!
Well I have no idea what's going on, so I'll just leave things as they are with the FOS... just in case.
All the best and again thanks for your support.
Hi Moose
Just an update as promised, cheque arrived today from MBNA so all done and dusted in less than 2 week of the FOS timescale. :T :T
All in all I started this claim on 12 December last year been the long route round after initial rejection from MBNA over to the FOS early March and final resolution early next week once the cheque has cleared.
Many thanks to the ombudsman if anyone from them is reading this
Good luck with yours keep us posted :beer:0 -

My daughter and I both started a claim with Lloydstsb for mis sold PPI on the same day she has had letters regarding both her claims I have heard nothing, She has contacted them via telephone as they said she would not be considered for a refund and they told her they had tried to ring her 10 times!!!! which she completly knows is untrue as she has a work telephone which by the nature of her job she has with her at all times her claim was only started at the end of June so I am confused after reading that people are being told they will have to wait another 8 weeks. She has e mailed them her proof that she did not need PPI. The letters had the wrong dates my letters had the wrong postcodes all in all it is quite farcical we will continue to fight spurred on by the people who post on here who have won0

Hi folks. I am new to this forum and recently sent martins form to ge money for a 1999 ppi reclaim. they agnowledged receiving the form and the next day another reply saying that i was time barred. they also went on to say they were not at any time members of GISC and that this letter was their final response on the matter. Do i go to the ombodsman at this point or travel another avenue, any advice at this point would be appreciated and thanks.0
