hi jane
have you still got nothing i am not surprised my phone call fell on deaf ears but they still do have until next thursday to answer you and me.
claim put in 21st june same as you.0 -
I put a claim for missold PPI a couple of months ago to HFC Bank on a personal loan I took out a few years ago. I downloaded the PPI claim forms from MSE, filled them in on my computer, printed and signed them and checked for the address to send the claim form on the HFC Bank website. I sent the claim form with a copy of the loan agreement.
HFC Bank replied in July asking me to complete a PPI complaint questionnaire asking questions on what happened at the time I applied for the loan.
I was shocked to receive such a quick response on Monday and they offered me £1,131 which I accepted! They said it was calculated by the PPI payments I had paid to the insurance company for two years plus interest.
This was such an unexpected surprise and I recommend that people put their claims in themselves as it's not too difficult to do and was only the cost of a stamp! Good luck!0 -
Hi all
I'm starting to get some movement on the claims I put in in June so thought I'd update:
Egg - posted 29th June and acknowledged 2 days later. Standard letter saying 8 weeks which would take us to 27th August. Received a letter today offering a full and final settlement of £816 :j Now have to return a form and they will issue a cheque in 10-15 working days.
Renault Financial Services - Posted 29th June as above. Several weeks passed then original paperwork returned with a note to direct the claim to the dealership from whom I bought the car. I literally posted it through their door at 7am the next morning. 2 more weeks have passed and today I've received a letter (dated 3rd August) from ITC Compliance asking me to sign and return a letter of authority which will allow them to contact 'your product provider' - errr, hello!!! So that will be going off tomorrow.
So, we're getting there slowly but surely. I was very pleased with Egg as it was a credit card that always had a low balance and was closed in 2009.
Anyone else find themselves ranting at the PPI adverts even more now you know how easy it is to do the forms
Thanks for all the info and tips I've received so far by reading this fab forum.0 -
Hi guys,
I realise we haven't posted in a very long time but now the end is (in theory) near I wondered if anyone could help us (again, sorry!) understand what on earth has gone on.
Ok, Sept 23rd 2012 should be the last payment date (month 60 of 60 month loan period). Not wanting to sound like a stuck record but our payment history is as follows:
3 months @ £246.62
12 months @ £252.84
45 months @ £261.16
This included £1,537.50 (Aarrrgggghhh!!!) in PPI which was cancelled in April 2011 and £384.38 rebate repaid to GE Money. So if loan of £10k and PPI had run full term, repayment would total £15,526.14. Balance repaid so far is £14,414.20, so how can GE justify a further £1,402 remains unpaid when PPI no longer exists? FOS are being as useful as a chocolate fireguard and since we were told the cancellation of PPI would enable loan to be repaid sooner it doesn't make sense. Help please!!0 -
Well done to all Lloyds successes I am pleased for you all:)
May I ask what your initial complaint reasons were?
Thanks in Advance and keep us updated !!0 -

Congrats, when did you put the claim in? Ive been waiting with lloyds since mid may:(0 -
Its nice to hear from someone with good news from Lloyds, i was begining to think they were rejecting everyone at the moment.
I have been following Jane on here as she put her complaint in the week before me.
I telephoned them to log my complaint on Monday 25th june and hubby sent his by post, we both had our letters to say they were being looked into and would respond to our complaint as soon as they can, Hubby had a phone call yesterday to comfirm the reason for the complaint, but i havent (although if it is from a call center i tend to hang as we have been bombarded with calls about PPI) so i may have hung up on them oops.
I am on week 6 now so not much longer to wait i hope. :rotfl:
bout week 10 for me:o0 -
I have looked at quite a few pages on here but cannot really see any feedback on Barclays on wins or losses. I recently wrote to Barclays about two loans and they have replied about one of them and flatly rejected the claim saying they have finished investigating, its a no and we will not withold my complaint saying they take into consideration various factors when deciding. They have not said the reasons its just a no.
Has anyone else had rejections like this and if so have you gone to the FOS and won???
HELP!!!!! ANYONE GOT ANY ADIVCE.
Regards
Craig
I have this morning filled out the complaint form to the FOS so fingers crossed sometime in 2013 I will get a response from them, hopefully a positive one.0 -
