Its nice to hear from someone with good news from Lloyds, i was begining to think they were rejecting everyone at the moment.
I have been following Jane on here as she put her complaint in the week before me.
I telephoned them to log my complaint on Monday 25th june and hubby sent his by post, we both had our letters to say they were being looked into and would respond to our complaint as soon as they can, Hubby had a phone call yesterday to comfirm the reason for the complaint, but i havent (although if it is from a call center i tend to hang as we have been bombarded with calls about PPI) so i may have hung up on them oops.
I am on week 6 now so not much longer to wait i hope. :rotfl:

    Just a quick update
i have recieved what looks like a standard letter today from Lloyds tsb. the jist of what it says is Due to the exceptionally high volume of PPI complaints we have been recieving recently and despite increasing our team dedicated to providing fair outcomes to customers, it could take up to a further eight weeks to resolve your complaint :(

I have obviously missed the phone call and it has gone straight to a letter, so Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
    Oh well more waiting :(

    hi again
just got home and i have a letter dated 2/8/2012 from the lloyds with the following words--i am writing to update you with our progress concerning your ppi complaint.IT IS POSSIBLE THAT YOU MAY HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED OF A FINAL DECISION PRIOR TO RECEIVING THIS LETTER.IF THIS IS THE CASE WE APOLOGISE AND WOULD ASK YOU KINDLY DISREGARD THIS LETTER.they go on to say it could take a further 8 weeks to resolve the complaint .this is due to the high volume of claims being received blah blah blah
what do make of that ?
its as i feared still at least not been rejected YET

this is Exactly the same as the one i have recieved today dated 02 August 2012

    hi all
    good init

still there we go we are not surprised are we people.
  • I have a credit card with MBNA - I didn't have a policy number or any documentation relating to this card other than my AC number. Filled in the PPI claim form and sent that off two weeks ago - received a letter last week to say they had received my complaint and would look into it. Today received another letter to say my complaint is being upheld and they will shortly send my a cheque for £358.77 (to include 8% interest) - very happy with that outcome and to think I wasn't going to bother!!!

On a plus side some people haven't had to wait another 8 weeks but had a response in the 10th week so let's hope sooner rather than later. :)

    hi beerow

What reasons did you give them for the miss-selling?

    hi
agree with your thoughts but i am feeling a little gloomy lloyds do seem to be hard balling and thats worrying.
we had another claim over another type of insurance but after a phone call today we have learned that has been turned down so thats going to appeal and then the ombudsman if needed.
but one positive out of all this we are to date certainly a lot better off 9 months down the line when we first started claiming PPI.

    GOOD LUCK TO ALL
