I submitted a claim about 4 weeks ago. Got a call from Halifax yesterday to go over the details of the claim.
It was all in the letter and questionnaire i submitted, so just wondered if this was normal?
he wanted to ask me about teh cover offered by my employer for redundancy, sick pay, death etc. i explained i was generously covered for all so did not require PPI.
Anyway it all seemed straighforward and the guy said they'd write to me within 5 working days.0 -
Well i have just rung Deloitte and they have said our claim has been successful yayyy, it has been with them for 7 weeks and the claim is against Norton finance although she could not state how much, a win is a win, they charged us over 8k for 5 years of worthless cover i understand that the FSCS only pay 100% for the 1st 2k and 90% after so once i get a figure through i will let you know, can i please give a MASSIVE thank you Amersall, Di, Niggly you guys (and girls) gave me great advice throughout and when kept up hope when it seemed it would never end these people are diamonds. thanks again and when i know more i will post up

I had that same call and conversation a few weeks ago and also said i was generously covered etc , and they then sent me a letter rejecting the claim .
I have written back to them and it will be two weeks on monday since they received my letter suggesting they should reconsider the rejection etc0 -
I received a cheque today from the Bank of Scotland for £3052. I am delighted
Thank you to everyone for their invaluable advice0 -
oooh just had a call of the Halifax reference my credit card PPI , this is spooky as i posted before . apologising for the first rejection and asking why i took out PPI to which i replied i couldnt , and i branched off in a speel about the standard template letter they were sending out , the failiure to address the fact that PPI was reinstated without my knowledge . so hopefully they may change there minds .fingers crossed0

I've been reading all the success stories on MSE and thought I would give it a try.
Claimed MPPI was missold by Barclays, filled in the forms I found in this site and just received the letter today to confirm they are going to pay me £1800.
Thanks very much MSE!:beer:0 -

spendtoomuch wrote: »Ok so where do I start!!?? Hoping one of you lovely people can help. I phoned Lloyds TSB about 4 months ago - I was pretty confident I had never had PPI but thought I would ask. I went through the loans team and was told I had taken two loans with PPI, one in the sum of £219 and the other just over £4,600 of PPI on a loan for £20,000. I promptly put in a claim as I have worked for the same company for 20 years where I get permanent health insurance so would never have needed PPI. Anyway after the first 8 weeks were up they wrote to me to say they needed longer to conclude their investigations (another 8 weeks). Then after five of those weeks they wrote to me offering me just over £2k. I rang them and asked how they had worked this figure out and they said that on the big loan I had only made 3 payments and the loan had been settled. I explained I had been told by their loans team that I had paid £4,600 and they said oh they must have made a mistake and quoted you what you would have paid had you have not settled the loan early. I rang the loans team and was again told I had paid £4,600 so I went through to the PPI team who left me on hold and put me back to the loans team who said not sure why you have been told that but you only paid PPI for 3 months. I asked for a statement. Before the statement came Lloyds have paid into my account just over £2k which is that their offer was. The statement came today and it was front loaded PPI added on to the £20k borrowings and was in the sum of £4,600. I can see on the statement that the loan was settled at just over £25k but nothing about refunded PPI so this looks like I did actually pay 60 months of PPI for a loan I only had for 3 months. I suppose my question is therefore if Lloyds had repaid the PPI on the settlement figure this would show on the statement separately wouldn't it? Anyway I phoned the PPI line to question this and was told I had to send them a copy of this statement as despite them all working for Lloyds TSB they don't have access to this!!! God its so flipping frustrating! They have given me a fax number to fax the statement to tomorrow and I have declined their initial offer despite them already paying the money into my bank two days after the offer was made.
It is possible that this is full redress, you only get PPI back that you have actually paid, this is 3 PPI monthly payments, they did give you a rebate of the PPI at settlement and you paid the remaining PPI back in the settlement, they give you the 3 payments that you made and the PPI you paid back at settlement, ask them for a breakdown of the loan figure when you settled, this will show the rebate of PPI and the remaining PPI you paid in settlement.0 -
