Hello,
Have followed these stories for months without posting, but wouldnt have put a call to HSBC if it werent for you guys. after a tedious 17 weeks (first claim they didnt receive the FOS form so had to reopen) I received my offer letter this morning of a lovely and unexpected return of £8532.20. from several loans taken through the bank over a fair few years. Couldnt and wouldnt have done it without you lovely anonymous people. Huge Thank you xxxxxxxx0 -
Was unsure whether to claim or not although i beleived i was mis sold im never one to rock the boat especially with institutions like Banks but after the banking scandals and then finding this forum it forced me into action im soooooooooooo Glad i did.
In all its taken just under a month from me sending out the forms i printed of Natwests website to getting my offer yesterday on my Loans In Total the Offer was £8955 :-) on first reading i thought it was £895 it was only when i re read it the true extent hit me needless to say after much swearing and jumping up and down the acceptance letter was back in the post last night !!!
This now leaves me debt Free as i can pay of my current loan :-) :-) And i have the added bonus of waiting on 3 more claims 2 for credit cards and 1 for another loan,
To all those like me please please proceed if your unsure it costs the price of a stamp :-)
Thanks to all on here that give such great advice its most welcome !!
One quick question i have a current loan - would this offer have included any ppi on that or should i expect this loan amount to be reduced ?0 -
Received 7000 from first direct. 40% of 3100 interest to tax man, bit of a shame since I was only on 20% when took out loans!
Pleased with result , no need for claims co.0 -
Happy for you guys, lots of money :-) .
. Quick question I have called natwest today and put claim through under my ongoing mortgage which is in its 10th year. My loan deed does mention PPI is taken out, however can't say I have had separate payment coming out for PPI, specially since I don't acutally bank with natwest for good 5 years. Would I be right thinking the PPi is included into the monthly mortgage repayments ?
Would love to join these recent success stories. Any help appreciated Dave0 -
Sorry another question
Have discovered the relative had a loan with sainsburys (again im pretty sure had ppi)
did a google and the sainsburys website states Can I make a complaint regarding PPI?
If you applied for your Sainsbury's Loan before February 2009 you may have a valid complaint regarding Payment Protection Insurance. To discuss this with a colleague please call 08457 25 35 19 and select option 6.
Ok his loan was sept 2009 any reason why feb 2009 is significant?
thanks again0 -

Hi
I am expecting a settlement cheque from First Direct so called them Monday to see when it would be issued. They confirmed that it had been sent that day. I still haven't received it so rang today to chase & was told that they like to give it 10 days. Has anyone else experienced this & if so how long did it take for your cheque to arrive.
Thank you0 -
£22,990 from First Direct today, all for the price of a couple of stamps! I was physically shaking when I read the letter from them. Thank you so, so much for the template letters and guidance.
Hi there
Can I ask how long it took for FP to send the cheque to you, mine was sent on Monday apparently but I still haven't received it?0
