HSBC Card £2,275.28
Monument £889.60
TOTAL £11,584.88
Thank you money saving expert!0 -
I have just called LLOYDSTSB as my 8 weeks is up today and they say they have sent out a letter asking for a furthrer 2 weeks due to back log.
Of the 5 loans i claimed on, they said two were being treated together as one had no PPI but was a consolidation of a previous one that did, so i would get 4 responses.
Do you think that this is a positive message and that i may be seeing an offer ??
They were (4 of 5) all front loaded and (4K of front loading on one of them, 2.5K on another etc) and i complained of being told that i had to have ppi when in the branch to get the loans authorised by the lending division and to be accepted, i also stated that i had good job security and sick leave cover (6+ months) and a good pension etc.
Has anyone else had similar, and have you a response you can share?
Hi Rooney!
I had a call from Lloyds TSB this afternoon about my 4 loans, and the lady was just asking the same questions again that I had already put in my complaint. (comfirming my complaint I think) and when I asked how long will it take to hear back? she replied with you'l hear something back within the next 2 weeks. Im at my 6 week stage and she didnt mention anything to me about a back log or more time need. Fingers crossed it wont be long. I had life cover and critical illness insurance at the time when i had all my loans but still I was given PPI.0 -

seems like a stalling tactic to me what date did u put the claim in as other people are being mucked about as well .
lloyds say they are sending letters out for more time due to the backlog which i feel is wrong .
they should work more hours i think
my claims are in their 5 week and i hope that it will be done within the 8 week period.
Hi notamoneygrabber!
I rang and put my complaint in on the 20th June and received a letter a week later saying my complaint is being delt with. I'm on 6 weeks the same as you now. Keep me up dated on your claim as looks like we're at the same point.0 -
You send the complaint to the dealer you bought the car from.
Santander only provided the finance, did you pay the PPI in with the monthly loan payment? if you did then this is Single Premium PPI and the reason you use for mis sell, the full cost and unfair rebates of this PPI would not have been fully explained to you at the point of sale to make an informed decision regarding this insurance.
Ah, OK, thanks for the advice. I did pay the PPI with the monthly loan payment. Which would explain why Santander tried to sell me PPI on the PPI! Pity Santander didn't explain this to me rather than just wash their hands of it...0 -
I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone on here. I haven't posted before but have been lurking for some time, ever since I was due to have a claims company come to my home to sort out my extensive list of loans. The claim company rang me 9 times from 4pm to 9.30pm the night I booked the appointment which made me suspicious enough to google them.... I was directed to this site (THANK GOD!)
I rang them up and cancelled the appointment and did it all myself. That was 10 weeks ago.
So far I've had a refusal from First Direct which was a disgrace as it looked like they cut and pasted my name into someone else's letter as there was so much incorrect info. That is now with the ombudsman!
Last week we got an offer from HFC for £2080, today I got an offer from Lloyds for £5600 (I thought it was only worth a grand, turns out I'd had 3 loans with them) and we are waiting on other responses to the tune of another 10 or £11,000.
Thank you thank you thank you... You are all fab for the advice you give, and I'm so chuffed I did it myself. :T0 -
Complained to Lloyds in May about my front loaded PPI
They phoned and asked me all the questions i had already answered in my application about 4 weeks afterwards, I received a letter about 6 weeks in saying they might need another 8 weeks. then 3 weeks later and i phoned up (today) to be told I was getting £5457 back off a loand that was £14000 taken out 8 years ago for 84 months with 3k ppi front loaded. So I'm pretty happywill await the actual letter and see if it shows calculations

Hi, I was self employed when I had PPI with BOS.
I spoke them recently and they just wrote to be to say that while part of my claim was valid having reviewed it fully I didn't meet all the criteria for a refund and they were satisfied I hadn't been miss-sold. Sounds like they are trying to wriggle.
Is this normal and what options do I haver please?
Thanks for any advice0 -

Over the moon, as myself and my partner have now been offered over 9k between us. This is a life changing amount for us as we really want to put our tiny terraced house up for sale this year, but we were struggling with repairs.
Good luck with the sale of your house and all the very best to you and your partner for the future:D
Enjoy YOUR money;)0 -
I have made a claim for recovery of PPI using your template and sent it direct to Black Horse as I had all the details to hand. They have advised that they are not responsible as they did not sell me the policy and that the garage where I bought the car and took out the loan are responsible. Is this correct and if so can I still claim back the PPI?0
