Hello, I have today had two letters from Barclays in reltion to PPI. They have maid an offer on one and rejected the other. Both cards were taken at the same time, one was Visa and one was Mastercard.
Why reject one and offer on the other? should I take the rejection further?

What were the reasons for rejection?.
Write back and tell them you do not accept the rejection, if the reasons for mis sell were the same, and ask why they upheld the other one.

Hi guys, so I've just received my first offer from Lloyds TSB credit cards PPI, they've offered me £167 which broken down is a refund of what I've payed, plus £1 interest.
They have given you back what you paid, this puts you in the same position you would have been had the PPI not been taken and is full redress.
  • Initial phone call to LloydsTSB on 27th April, 8 weeks later ...delay letter dated 22nd June explaining about taking a further 8 weeks....called today to be told my claims for 2 loans dating back to 2002/2003 have been upheld.....partial success....woohooo!!!! Can't help but feel slightly pessimistic as to when i'm likely to see any payment some time soon. Don't get me wrong...completely over the moon.....now just a waiting game til I see some ££££.
Anyone know a likely payout time scale ???

    Hi all

One more "HUGE" update from MBNA

FOS sided in my favour for both credit cards (I have been stupid in my past)

After receiving a cheque for £7100 last week, I have finally got my cheque for the other and it was for a staggering £28100!!!

Absolutely staggered and over the moon

To anyone thinking they have been missold then apply, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

Congratulations, but can i ask how long it took? MBNA upheld my claim within 3 weeks of sending it in am now in the 12 week period of waiting for them to calculate. I have been trying to work it out based on an average cc limit of £4000, for at least a year (on the statements I still have) I was paying £43 a month in PPI, the card has been paid off for 2 and a half years, so hoping this will be a tidy sum in time for crimbo shopping,

I rang on wednesday to see how far in process it was, i was told with the number in process at the moment it is likely to be the full 12 weeks, I am still going to bug them on a weekly basis though. I see the win as double compensation as they weren't the most understanding when i got into difficulties with them and their customer service wasn't exactly the best. Justice I think!

my ppi was cancelled back in oct 2005, had it from jan 2003. Balance on the account was always around 2k, so it wont be a kings ransom but the fact 7 years have passed means the interest will be interesting to say the least ! only upheld on monday so it will be a while yet......

I completed both forms with the same answers word for word as the reasons were the same. The one letter has said the accept it was wrong and have offered a refund, the second letter informs that they believe the 'seller' acted correctly and made all of the facts known. This is their only reason. The claims are for cards i held many years ago. I was going to wait until they have paid the first claim before I made contact to ask for reasons why the second was rejected.
