    bottom line is they lie

this site encourages them to lie

give them a template, chance your arm eh, why not

PPI was mis - sold I agree

One of the last 'claims' I received was from someone who claimed for six months after a fall at work, it saved his home

Still went to FOS mind, still had to pay £500 even though I was proved of no wrong doing.

I pray that these people whose 'family and friends' would help out if they lose their jobs see it that is the truth. If it is as i suspect, I hope the people come and change their locks in the very near future

Having being naive and young once I took PPI, when I told them the second time I really didn't need it I was pressured into taking it. Banks have admitted liability for one simple reason the huge majority were missold. Yes a small minority might not have been but this is tiny compared to the ones who had ruthless tactics to remove their hard earned cash from their pockets.

Now stop trolling the forum and do something productive please.

    Mark 123,

I get that this whole PPI issue has caused your business to go under. but would your anger not be better directed at the government and MP's for setting up the FOS funding in the way it has been? i feel for you having to pay out evan though you did no wrong, but ranting at consumers on here is not going to earn you friends and is a complete waste of your time.

send emails and rant at the government - they have the power to change things. having a go at the consumers on here is wrong and pointless

Use your anger to change things, ring your MP, arrange meetings, argue and shout at the people that have the power to change

because your completely wasting everyone time, the people on here quite frankly don't care about your business - as horrible as that may be

use your anger and be productive - aim it at the people who can change things not at people who don't care for your business or your situation.

I'm sorry to sound harsh and i don't agree with paying fees for failed complaints but venting on here is pointless and in my opinion you should be doing something about it than feeling sorry for yourself and shouting at random people on a help forum!

The person you are trying to reason with is what is known as a troll,
That is someone who writes inflammatory information on here to get people to respond. You will not be able to reason with it.
    DO NOT FEED IT.

    Just click the ignore button.

the chancers are not the issue here, there will always be chancers no matter what you do in life.

the issue here is about how the FOS is funded and why you have to pay £500 for an unfounded complaint.

what are you doing about this? I'm going to guess nothing your just sat at a computer feeling sorry for yourself and being a keyboard warrior.

now man up and deal with the real people who put you in this situation - the banks and government who decided that the FOS should be funded like this. not the people on here.

thanks - i know I'm just making a point, if he is who he says he is then he should direct his anger at the correct people.

i actually have sympathy for the guy if what he says is true, but i want him to see the light and direct his anger in a more productive way ( i can but try haha)

I don't have any financial background, so can only speak from personal experience. I have found this site really helpful and am claiming on various accounts:

    1) My personal account where I had flexiloans, which the bank has made offers on; I had loans going back further than the time on the flexiloans, but neither myself nor the bank have any records this far back - so be it.

    2) Joint account with my ex; front loaded loans, looking for information on how far back the bank is holding records.

    3) My ex's personal account - as per 2 above.

    4) My ex's credit card. Opened in 1998, was told he had to take PPI. Never needed it, company benefits, life assurance, BUPA, personal pension, etc. Paid off his balance about a year ago when his pension paid him a lump sum. Cancelled about 18 months ago when he heard through a friend did not have to have it. Was paying up to £150 a month just for the insurance. He had no idea he could reclaim until I approached him recently asking him if he still had any old paperwork of mine.

Mark's story really touched me, but I do not want to see this site ditched, there is unfairness on both sides. Would like to think people on both sides of the fence are honest, but know that's probably a bit too innocent.

Oh well, good luck to those with genuine claims!!
