They take as long as they take and they do what they want to, that is Lloyds all over, others who are waiting or received the money may come on and post and give you a good idea when you may get this.0

another quick question please for Amersall. I settled the MBNA card 4 yrs ago - I offered an amount in full and final but they only accepted it as a partial settlement and marked my credit file as such and promised not to come after me for the rest. Do you think they will keep any refund to cover the shortfall??? Thanks x0

They may do, I am not 100% with this, as you still owe them money they can take it off but if you have it in writing that they will not chase this debt then it is possible they will let it go, let me know what they do.0 -

The only chance of you getting any redress awarded is if the Bank's records are incomplete.
This question comes up with alarming regularity, normally from posters whose banks have already offset their redress on old debt.0 -
I've just received a cheque for £1,933.82 (including the calculated interest on the original PPI sum @ 8%) from Egg for a 4-year loan I took out back in 2005.
I used the complaint letter template from this site to make my complaint. Initially, Egg sent me a questionnaire to fill out, but after a few weeks (I still hadn't gotten round to filling it out yet) they sent me a letter confirming that my complaint had been upheld and that the money would be refunded.
The process was far simpler and more straightforward than I had expected.
I'm very grateful for all the guidance and templates on this site! :-)

Could you please link me to some of these posters - thanks .
