I can I ask for some advice, I have just found some paper work from a loan provided by GE MONEY it had ppi provided by a company called Priority One Ltd it was front load, the loan was taken out in May 2005 and paid off in Sept 2007, when I contacted Ge Money they said the PPI was front loaded onto the loan the sum paid for the ppi was£7020 joint cover, we were told the ppi would aid our application and that we were unlikely to get the loan without it,we were not told it was optional or that we could purchase the ppi elsewhere. My oh was in the armed services and I work for the public sector both of us had 6 months full pay and 6 months half pay and we both had critical illness/personal accident and life cover in place. Ge said we should contact Priority One as they sold us the PPI, I have found out that Priority One Ltd has been taken over by MBNA, Has anyone had any dealings with Priority One through MBNA and do you think I have enough reasons to send a questionaire in for misselling of ppi. Many Thanks Madcat113
Send the complaint to MBNA, this is Single Premium PPI and this is the reason that you use for the mis sell.

The full cost and unfair rebates of this Single Premium PPI were not given to you at the point of sale to make an informed decision.

    Use this reason too

They do not have to tell you this so don't use it.

  • I had two PPI complaints upheld yesterday from Egg and Co-Op coming to £3300 in total :j.

It was so simple - definately no need to use a claims management firm!!!

Rang Santander on the 28th June after getting the number of this website!

Registered complaint over the phone for mis-sold PPI on a mortgage dating Mar 2003 to Aug 2010

Hadnt heard anything, then got home wednesday night to find a letter saying that the complaint had been upheld and had an offer of £4,901!!!:j

So all sorted in less than 2 weeks! Amazing

Have returned the signed offer form and they will now process payment straight into my bank account!

    Hi all,

    Please can anybody help?

I am after the address to write to for GE Captial Bank - Ive held a couple of store cards with them (Burton's, Etam) etc in the past.

I wanted to send them a SAR for information or a questionaire.

    Thank you for your help!

After a long slog to get our offer letter from barclaycard we returned it last Friday 1st class recorded and was amazed this morning to find the money in the bank. This is our 2nd successful claim 1 with MBNA and this from barclaycard totalling £5700 with 3 more awaiting replies and one sent to FOS. I would never have been able to do this myself without all the help and advice from this site so many thanks to you all :j:j

Just to let people know ... its possible !!

I wrote to MBNA approx mid - June, just enquiring if I ever had PPI on my credit card, no questionaire, no reasons for mis-sell. I received a letter back on 5th June advising they were investigating. Today I have got a letter stating that my claim has been upheld and will be settled within 12 weeks!
Can't quite believe it - wasn't even really sure if I paid PPI so no idea what amount I may get back. Anything is a bonus though ....
Does anyone know approx how long they actually take to pay out?
Good luck all waiting to hear ...........

They have been taken over by Santander, if you live near to a branch then put the request in there, head it DSAR request.
Don't forget to ask for all info they hold on you and not specific items.

Wait and see what happens, it is rare that there are these errors, fingers crossed.
  • Can anyone please tell me how long you are waiting for payment from Lloyds TSB after receiving offer and sending acceptance letter back? At the moment I have waited 7 weeks!!!
