If anyone DOES want to use a company to do it for them, these guys have been pretty good...
I should hope so, they'll be stealing (sorry, charging) 40% of your redress!
So now you've been ripped off twice, once by the Bank for the original PPI and now by these crooks (sorry, legitimate tradesmen)
  • been trying to contact HMRC to pay the tax on my ppi interest refund but cannot for the sake of me get through!! someone hung up 3 times! You'd think theyd be desperate for my money!
  • Phoned Santander for an update on my Dorothy Perkins store card (old GE Capital bank now Santander) PPI complaint to be told it has been upheld and a cheque for £1965.28 will arrive within 14 working days.

Mega happy and once again wanted to say a HUGE thank you to the site, the regular posters and all the success stories that have spurred me on.
Loan Free May 2015 - working on Dec 2012

Then to overpay the Mortgage - aim to cut 10 years!!!

The Topshop habit never seems to fade!!!!!

    Hi, i need some advice.
I got today a rejection letter for two cc accounts from First Direct, they supplied a copy of both application forms one show that i ticked the box for ppi and the other shows that both boxes are ticked for some reason .. to have ppi and not to have ppi. They have also said that they provided full terms and conditions. As this was a postal application and not verbal would i have any rights of appeal?

    Any replies would be appreciated.

Write back and reject the reason they gave for not upholding, they cannot use the fact that they " provided full terms and conditions ".
You need to show that you could have paid these cards should the worst happen, ie, a good sickness package, life insurance even savings, show you did not need this PPI.

hi can anyone help recieved two letters from rbs stating that they will give me goodwill gesture payments one for 1028 one for 580 for two cc ther is no breakdown i had cc for 10 years should i accept this.

Credit card redress is repaid for the past 6 years unless you or the bank have statements going back further as proof of more PPI paid.

Ask them how they arrived at this goodwill gesture if you have proof of all PPI paid, if you have proof, then send it to them and reject the offer they have made and ask them to consider the PPI you have statements for.
  • I am considering using a third party to reclaim my PPI. I have had various loans, mortgages, store cards and credit cards over the last 14 years but have also been known by my maiden name and two married names and lived at 8 different addresses. My Experian credit report could only find my details for the last 3 years so I wonder whether a third party organisation would be better to gather all of the information for me. Anyone been in a similar boat?

    Thanks!
