Thanks again for your reply you are a so helpful on here to everyone! :A I just want to make sure this is correct. Even though this was a postal app the box was ticked by myself apparently for BP this is not a problem?

It does not matter if the box was ticked, tell them they cannot use the fact they gave you info regarding this as a reason to reject, use this and also the fact you could pay this back without the need of any insurance.
    Good luck.

Hi, wonder if anyone can help, i have the original agreements from when i opened my store cards with dorothy perkins, evans and debenhams, i also have a few statements from each and i can see i was indeed paying ppi on them all, which i was unaware of, they were all paid off in 2006, can i ring up and ask about claiming back the ppi on these cards due to the fact i did'nt know about it? thanks.
  • HELP!!!! I want to see if I can reclaim credit card PPI but pretty much all my old cards are from when I was employed pre 2006 (I'm now at home mum) I can't find /don't have the full account numbers and my equifax report only holds the last 4 digits of the account. I've tried calling a couple of the card companies but they say they are unable to trace using my previous address , they say they have to have the full card number or cannot help me. Equifax say they can't provide any more info than what they have - any ideas how to trace my old card numbers?

Also I was sold a endowment/pension linked mortgage back in approx 1996 , broker was a real wide boy so certain I had PPi on there - is it too late to claim back this far - I no longer have any of the paperwork?

    Thx

Further to yesterdays post and success with MBNA :-) I decided to trawl through paperwork and work out roughly how much I have paid over the years (just so when I get a settlement figure I can estimate whether this is acceptable). This should add to a nice tidy sum all for me! However, I already have a claim into Capital One, I found my first 3 statements from when I opened the account in 2002, no PPI, but then a statement in 2006 showed it with it on, do I go back to them with this new information or wait and see what they say, looks to me that this was applied to my account at some point. I cannot imagine that I originally opted out but then opt in as my financial circumstances were much better, and I was still with the same employer with same benefits - was this about the time that Capital One were fined?

I had exactly the same thing we me with Capitalone no PPI then in 2006 they started taking money. I can't recall any phone call about it. It will be intersesting to see what they say, mine is still being processed. Good luck with yours!

From comments on here, Cap One not the fastest bunnies of the block. I applied for the MBNA and Cap one cards roughly same time, both paper applications. MBNA upheld in less than a month, both questionnaires were pretty much the same but am guessing that they will string it along. am not expecting this one to be upheld and to be rejected, not seen many on here where they have upheld without a fight! Having seen that I didn't have it, then mysteriously did, making me more determined!

Sounds like this was a systematic process in 2006! Good luck I will post when I have an update.
  • Another win :j I already had my claims with MBNA and Tesco upheld and was only waiting on the BarclayCard Loan now. Received a shiny cheque with upheld claims letter yesterday. :j

    3 claims, all 3 upheld :T:T
