Does paying a monthly premium for Payment Protection Covermean we are paying Payment Protection Insurance? If so, there is noPayment Protection Insurance Policy with the paperwork or any paperwork about the Payment ProtectionCover we are paying. I thought the copy ofterms and Conditions applicable to the account should have included this too.Surely we will need this to be able to proceed with a reclaim?
This is PPI and you only need the card number and reasons for mis sell to put the claim in, they will find the PPI, you do not need to provide a policy number.

Complaint sent to Lloyds - response - as it was sold before 2005 and we where not regulated by the FSA then. So go away.
Wait for other posters who have had Credit card wins, they may be able to help you more, there have been wins from pre 04 so I don't understand what this is all about to be honest, unless they are trying to stop paying out.

I am satisfied there were no issues with the sale of the PPI attached to these loans. Therefore, no refund of premiums for these loans are due."
Write back and reject the reasons they have for not upholding, let them know that this Single Premium PPI on all loans was mis sold, at the point of sale it was not explained to you the full cost or the unfair rebates that would have been applied to these loans and you do not want the rebate amounts refunded you want the whole PPI back for each loan as they were mis sold, ask them to reconsider this decision or you will pass this claim to FOS who uphold the majority of these Single Premium PPI.

Just got back £845 from Lloyds TSB yesterday for the credit card PPI and now I am waiting for an answer on five separate loans from them over the years. Do you think if they paid one they will now pay them all out?

2 successful claims so far - Mint £1050 and Capital One £1020.
We have had one knock back from Barclaycard cos OH actually filled in the form himself and ticked the box for PPI! But you win some you lose some!!
We are still waiting to hear from GE Capital about a GAP insurance and we have sent off 3 more PPI claims in the last couple of days. Just one more to go - does any one know who took over Morgan Stanley?

All in all - we are pleased with progress! Nothing ventured - nothing gained!! :T

  • hi all
it is my belief that some of the rejecting going on is random and we had credit card ppi claims upheld .had cards many years pre 2003 we claimed and no probs the accepted it.
i just wish that these banks etc would just own up to their total wrongdoing 100% and get people paid asap we need to move on.
now dealing with them other idiots HMRC well they do not seem to understand the ENGLISH language .
WE WRITE TO THEM TELL THEM ABOUT OUR PPI INTEREST PAYMENT AND THEY WRITE BACK SAYING PLEASE (in my wifes case)FILL IN A SELF ASSESSMENT FORM.TO WHICH WE SAY CAN YOU SEND ONE PLEASE TO WHICH THEY ANSWER YES WE WILL.
OH NO THEY DO NOT WE REQUEST AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN ABSOLUTELY NO JOY .7 MONTHS THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON THEY KEEP SENDING THREATENING LETTERS IF FORM NOT WITH THEM BY A CERTAIN DATE.we do not want to fill it out online we are not comfortable with that route and it seems very technical. so in conclusion we write to them again after i have finally obtained the self assem form from a tax office some miles away which i had to fetch.
so i hope anybody thinks that HMRC PART OF THINGS WILL GO EASILY FORGET IT OURS DID NOT.
it seems to me that HMRC NON COLLECTION OF TAXES OVER THE YEARS COULD HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE STATE OF THE COUNTRY.
    rant over sorry folks

Following my £14,000 from Santander I have just received £3,000 from citi cards, just my Nationwide to go.
  • Hi, just thought I'd let you know about my success.

I had a loan with Yorkshire Bank that was taken out in 2001 and is all paid off. When I took out the loan I was told they wouldnt issue the loan with out ppi.

Fast forward to March 2012 and as I didnt have the paperwork or loan agreement number anymore I wrote to the YB branch where I took out the loan asking for a copy of the agreement, which I received in the post within 2 weeks.

I then used the MSE ppi form and sent off to claim back the ppi and today I received a letter to say they have upheld the claim and I will be getting £4200. Great result as I didnt even expect them to send me a loan agreement copy after 11 years!

    Happy days :)
