Just heard that another claim has been rejected by Black Horse is this a stalling tactic and is it worth going to the Ombudsman.[/QUOTE]

Same question really, Just had rejection letter today from Black Horse, our main reason was that it was front loaded... is the ombudsman likely to uphold this? Are Black Horse just hoping people who get rejection letters dont take things any further?

OH has just received a letter upholding a reclaim of PPI from Egg Loans - £3300! :D:D
Cheque within 15 days apparently - anyone have any experiences with Egg and do they pay within their promised timescales?

    Hiya,
Just wondering if you have received your cheque yet as I received a offer letter around the same time as you but not received nothing yet!
The wait is driving me crazy!!

    Hi there.
Thanks ever so much for posting that important number!!
I rang and spoke to a lovely woman, extremely helpful!
Found out that they had sent me a letter on 29th may, but to my old address they held on the system (even though my claim had new address on).
But she sorted it out and is getting letters sent to me. Including an offer woo hoo.
Just waiting for her to ring back, as I have another question for her. Need to know if both the loan ppi claims will be in 1 letter, or if will have been done separatly with 2 different offers?? Do you know how that works by any chance? So technically they did stick to the 8 weeks.. so pretty good. But I am so glad I found your post, otherwise I would have had to wait much longer!
    Thanks again!
    Thanks a lot.

No problem - I'm glad it was of use

I had three different loans with PPI premiums on and they were all settled together - this may have been because the loans were rolled into one another rather than being paid off and a new one taken out - so in your case they may send seperate offers for each. To be honest I don't really understand how all the systems work so I guess your best bet is to wait and see when the offers arrive.

Please can anyone advise me? I paid off my Capital One card account last November and closed the account. In May this year I sent the standard template letter from this site asking for a copy of the agreement and a cheque for £1.00.

I have just received a letter from Cap 1 which says, 'Where there is no sum which is, or will, or may become payable under the credit agreement, then the obligation to provide documantation under section 78 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 does not apply. Therefore on the basis of the above we have no obligation to provide you with a copy of the documents that you have requested.'

Does this mean that I didn't pay any PPI? Should I believe them? Thankyou.

Cheque came this morning for £4152.00 from my mortgagesure claim so i'm a happy bunny.
Thanks everyone for all your help with the templates etc.
The only bug bear is, I am itching to pay off bills etc but none of the cheques have cleared until 5 days later even though they are Lloyds tsb cheques.

    Thanks again,

I had a look at my on line statement this morning and my loan has been reduced by a couple of thousand. I phoned the PPI department again and was told that I will definitely be getting the whole amount of money awarded to me but they had to adjust my loan first, so much happier again today but will believe it when I see it in my account.

When paying the tax is it literally divide the 8% portion by 5 and give them that? I tried to get through to the tax office yesterday and was on hold for about 20 minutes without speaking to anyone, any idea how to get through to them?
You pay the tax at the rate that you pay tax, if you pay 20% or 40% that is what you pay on the 8%.
The Tax office are really slow and others on here have had a job getting through and sorting this out, give it a bit longer or put it in writing that you have this money and need to pay tax on this.
