Hi,i have just recieved a call from lloyds in regard to my ppi loan claim in regards to a £15,000 loan from 2003,they wanted more info in regards to my work benefits, gave them the info, told them ppi wouldnt have been needed etc, explained this loan paid off a previous loan, ppi was front loaded etc. They said they would investigate further and let me know within 2 weeks, has anyone had this ,any were they succesful?

I received a telephone call tonight too from lloyds asking the same questions. I am a civil servant so thought they would know the benefits we receive.
I was going to ask tim anyone else had a positive response.
  • In November last year i started a PPI claim against HSBC with a solicitor that recovers their legal fees from HSBC. April this year i got an offer from HSBC via the solicitors I am using but it did not include any legal fees so the solicitors wrote to HSBC giving them 4weeks to reply to their letter otherwise they would be taking them to court, so far the solicitors have heard nothing further from HSBC.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? the whole process has now taken 7 months.

HSBC gold Visa - hasd the card years! £0 balance at the mo.
    should I claim?
If you have reasons for mis sell and the card number then make the claim, if you have no info and the card was closed more than 6 years ago, it is possible they will not find this account.

Mint Mastercard - No mention of PPI claims on their rather amateurish web site, also had it years. This one is a bit weird as it does not show up on my Experian credit report?
The same goes for this too, if it does not show on your credit report then this was closed more than 6 years ago unless you have proof that this PPI was paid.
Inchape - A car loan now fully settled. I'd love to claim on this, but have no evidence of understanding if this is covered by the PPI ruling as this is not one of the 'banks'?
You can claim mis sell for this if you have reasons, if this was closed more than 6 years ago and you do not have any info you may find it hard as you have to complain to the dealer and depending on the year you took this out the dealer could be long gone.

Abbey National morgage - now closed as remorgaged - could this be worth looking into? does the PPI thing stretch to morgages?

Not sure about this to be honest, I would think that you would have to wait to see if the solicitor can get the legal fee from the bank, if they do not then they will take the money from your win.
See if any of our other members can help you with this, there may be someone who this has happened to.

  • Hi newbie here

Ive been viewing this site since the begining of the year and finally decided to make a claim for mis-sold ppi following the templates from this site.

Im extremely happy I viewed this website as ive had 3 sucessful claims come through, which has helped pay for my new kitchen, without this site i would still be living in a building site.

I have a quick question, and was wondeing if anybody could give me some advise.
I had a car on finance in Feb 2008, the loan was due to run for 5 years but I cleared the loan in June 2008 due to selling the car, after renting an appartment, now i settled the loan and im guessing that ppi payments would of been included within this settlement figure, now if i make a claim for mis-sold ppi, will i just get the ppi back for the 4 months i paid the loan or would i also get back any payments in the final settlement figure.
Im unsure who i had the loan with, im sure it was santander, could i contact my bank and ask them who i was making payments in 2008, i dont keep any statements over 2 years old.

Thanks in advance for your help, and thanks for your help in previous claims.

    Tesco success

Thanks to the advice on this site. I have successfully claim on a loan which I had taken out over ten years ago.I use the guidelines (templates) on this site and today Tesco have decided to offer me £3700 (including interest).

I would urge anyone with a valid claim to PPI to follow the guidelines on this site and don't be put off by anyone. Good luck!!

Hi I am like many others trying to claim back any PPI that's owed to me.
I joined Credit Experian to help but unfortunately they only go back 6 years.
I want to know if there is a way of going back 10 years as I had a mortgage at a previous address that I paid off in full but was paying PPI on it. Now I dont have any records of account/ reference numbers nor can I remember the name of the mortgage provider. This one I would really like to find so if there is anyone who can help I would be grateful.

    Thanks

well i finally decided to look further into this after keep reading through this thread and callled lloyds tsb. Turns out a loan i had totalling just over £6k in 2002 had PPI on it. I was 23 and financially very niaeve. and aother loan in 2004 for over £7.5k had PPI, remember thjis one and it was definatley not explained to me that |I may not need this if my work provided good benefits which it does! so Ive made the call, now apparently they send me a letter where i fill in some details and go from there? To be honest I'll be surprised if i get paid out, I'm just not that lucky and we could really do with it at mo lol. We'll soon see so fingers crossed and ill start checking the credit cards!

Well got the first correspondance from tsb today. A letter dated the 1st June basically just saying sorry to hear I'm complaining and that they will be looking into it for me. 1st step done but to be honest I expected them to ask for some more information? Oh well.........
