I take heart in the fact that this seems to be a standard Nationwide response - hopefully some kind soul out there will take pity and post the Nationwide CEO details and we can both take our complaints there!

Best of luck
There is little point in sending a further complaint to the Bank's chief executive if your original has been rejected. Letters to the Chief Executive might only be beneficial to you if redress payments have been tardy or there has been no response for an unacceptable period.
The correct procedure (which is all any CEO's response would tell you) is to take your dispute to the Ombudsman.

But surely it is worth a shot as the Ombudsman timescale is long

put ceoemail into google for the email address you need

Many thanks

I have found it - CEO@nationwide.co.uk

Complaint sent; not expecting miracles but you never know until you try and I can always take the complaint to the Ombudsman should I fail this time.

Many thanks all who took the time to post a reply

Pretty sure you're not allowed to post the actual email, I could have done that ;)

Hi all who have had rejection letters from Nationwide.Don't give up - I didn't - I have about a 3 page letter stating why they were rejecting my claim and on every reason I had an answer, so I put pen to paper stating why I didn't agree with their rejection and sent it back to them at the address on the top of the rejection letter - low and behold about three weeks later I had another letter saying after reinvestigating it they had decided to uphold my complaint - it was only for about £400 but still I got it, so I'd just try replying to the rejection letter asking them to relook at it.Thanks

Expect a reply which details your right to use the free Ombudsman service. You can't complain to the Bank's CEO that they haven't followed the complaint procedure (because they have).

This is a better option (and won't be as likely to ruffle feathers at the Bank)

I think MSE blocked them for a time because they were being used for general complaints rather than one's where every other avenue had already been explored.

Please can you advise me? I have been offered a “good will payment” from RBS for PPI on a Mint Credit Card but they want to take the amount off the outstanding balance on the credit card and not send me a cheque for the amount.

Do I have to accept this or am I entitled to the cash?

I am not in arrears with the credit card and as I didn’t ask for the policy I didn’t sign to say I agreed to terms and conditions of refunds so If I would like my cash am I not entitled to Cash???

Hi
I got an offer from Halifax at the weekend of just under £500 and it stated as since I had an outstanding balance I could use this to pay off the outstanding balance and all I had to do was contact them.

Otherwise the money would be sent to me, you are entitled to this cash and it should be your choice if you want to use it to pay off your balance or if you take the cash. I would phone them up and explain that you want the cash.

Hope this helps and good luck

Apologies if this is in the wrong place, I am new to this.

I am trying to reclaim PPI from a loan for replacement windows.
Coldseal was the company, now liquidated, I contacted First Direct who's paperwork the loan was on, they advise me it's nothing to do with them, they mereley provided the credit and underwrote the finance, so i need to contact the agent coldseal.

I don't know what my next step is, can anyone help?

Thanks
• Wow.
Just joined to say thanks to this website and it’s awesome guide I am now £1200 up.
I took out a car loan with AA 6 years ago and never even thought to claim until a colleague who had been working at HSBC previously pointed me here.
Anyway I sent off the template letter to the AA who then forwarded it onto HBOS with only a date of when the loan was accepted and my surname to go on (there are no other people with my name in the UK, easy enough to find my details!). Five weeks later I got a cheque! £700 odd back for the PPI plus 8% interest.
That’s topped up my holiday to Barbados money quite nicely!
Cheers MSE!
