hi all , i had a llyods tsb ppi claim , refund for nearly £5000 2 weeks ago , i claimed this going back to 1987, all in all took 4 months from me submitting a claim and money in the bank , i thought tsb took longer to pay out
good news anyway0 -
Lloyds tsb ppi on 2 loans complaint upheld..Total of £9,000 on it's way to me!!!
Lloyds tsb credit card ppi claim refused, but wrote back telling them, they were not present when i applied for the card at the branch, that i did not recall ticking the box for ppi and they only ever advised me about card protection on the account and for them to prove they would have paid out if i had to claim for pre exsisting condition. I would not have bought a policy if were not going to pay out!!0 -
Argos have refunded me £1900 for ppi or card protection as it was referred to. It only took 8 weeks for a full response and my claim was upheld0

Hi Taking Control
Are they taking your last payments from your offer - how are they working it out - thanks0 -
I have just recieved a second letter turning down my claim against a First Direct Balance Protector policy.
Basically they claim it was non-advised so no libility to them as I applied online, I do not recall applying for the BP online and know (and FD have admitted but now say it was an error) that FD sent me a message after applying for the credit card saying I had not applied for BP. They then sent me a paper application form for the cc and BP which included in the BP section the wording "we strongly recommend that you take out this valuable cover now" yet they have the nerve to say the sale was non-advised! I wont go into the reasons for why I feel the policy was mis-sold but suffice to say I have been successful on other claims.
I feel very strongly that I was advised by FD as if a bank recommended me to take out something I would have been loyal enough to follow their advice!
Needlessly to say within an hour of getting their second rejection letter I completed the FOS form and am sending that off later to the Ombudsman and then guess I'll have a long wait while they look into it. Really annoyed that FD wont play ball but at least I now have the pleasure of knowing its going to cost them more money to settle my claim!0 -

Hello Ms Money Penny. The letter stated the refund and my new monthly loan payment without PPI so I just changed my SO to the new amount. At teh end of the day, it still will just be 3 months paymentsThere is no mention of offsetting as I have no arrears on the loan, in fact one of my few creditors I have 100% payments on time

Hi
We followed Martins' advice and sent off the PPI form to Northern Rock, after waiting 22 weeks (18 weeks for their processes and 4 weeks for them to cough up) we are now in receipt of £6k plus!! Easiest £6k earnt!!This was from an old loan my husband took out years back.
We simply filled in the form and sent off, no disagreement or fight just simply a letter back saying we agree with you, here's a settlement figure!
Now we're trying with TSB, they've written back to say their decision takes approx 8weeks...we'll keep you posted!!
THANK YOU MARTIN FOR THIS INVALUABLE WEBSITE!!!0 -
Hi all
A very good friend of mine recently received 9k from Barclays for misselling of PPI.(she had no idea that she was paying PPI)!It was all very easy for her - she completed the FOS form, and eight weeks later ......result
Early April I decided to do the same as found out that I too had paid PPI on an EGG credit card and a loan (taken out in 2004)which I paid off in 2007.
I have an MBNA credit card - started in 2001 and an HSBC credit card which again I have had for ages.
I completed an FOS form for each of these accounts and stated that I was not aware of ever agreeing to PPI. I would not have needed it anyway as I have pretty much always worked for NHS had good sick cover and can honestly never have had any worry about redundancy.
I just feel I need a bit of reassurance that I have a case
Thank you0
