Fantastic news - really happy for you :T

Glad the wait is all over now (apart from the next 28 days which is torture too!!). Just think of how much more relaxing your holiday will be now. Enjoy your money :j

I know 7.5 weeks of hell and now I have to go through another 28 working days of it he he:o
I bet the guys in the call centre are throwing a party as we speak to celebrate not having to listen to me call every other day :rotfl::rotfl:
Hope they don't drag their feet with it. Wonder if anyone has received cheques sooner than 28 days.

Thanks for you words and best of luck for the future :)

I only had to wait 7 days for my cheque with Halifax but with Lloyds Tsb I waited 30 days.

  • I have written to Barclays to claim mis-sold PPI on a loan, an overdraft and my credit card. Today I got home, and could barely push the door open for all the letters on my doormat!
A total exaggeration, but nonetheless, I had 8 letters with one identical reference number, and 7 more with another identical reference number. I have no idea which of the two reference numbers refers to which of the three claims, or why they have sent me multiple letters. 46c914c1.gif

I shall wait and see what happens... aea1d251.gif
I incurred the debt, I repaid the debt - all of it!:o DMP started with CCCS 20/07/2007 Was £32,735. Paid off all my creditors (June 2013) 7 yrs ahead of original DFD.
    PPI claims won against Barclays x 2/ Egg x 1/ LV x . PPI claims rejected and then upheld Barclays/Egg x 2

  • Hi all,
    Can anyone help?
I have seen somewhere on this site loads of Bank and Company addresses somewhere, but for the life of me I can not find them again:)...I am particularly looking for the address of Argos store card:)...because I have put in a claim and have not had a letter back saying that they have received my documents.
    Many thanks:)

We have 2 claims in with barclaycard and have had the same thing 10 FOS forms all with the same ref number and today have had 4 letters saying they haven't received the forms back yet, wonder if we'll get another 6 in tomorrows post. What a waste of money on postage.

The early loans from Welcome, due to the year and Welcome were not regulated, you would not be able to do the mis sell for these, give the FOS a ring and ask if it is possible you could go down the Insurer route, they may say no, but at least you tried.

With the MPPI, you would need to know who the broker was, due to the year and you have no paperwork I would think you may struggle with this.

Thank you ameersall, I will contact FOS.

Is it true they don't pay out if you live with your parents? If so I should never have been recommended to take out PPI as I've never left home, should this be taken into account or is it untrue?
What a load of old tosh !!, you have Insurance and it does not matter where you lived or who with, if you have a claim then you have a claim, the cover that you had in place would have been enough for you not to have needed the PPI, see what they come back with and if it is rejected, we will help you further.
