Hi - love your name (it should be mine as I have green eyes and was born in 66!!). I was paying just under £60 a month for 10 and a half years which comes to around £7500 but the PPI refund they are giving me is actually £5700 and the rest is interest so I've asked them to send me a breakdown of the payments they reckon I've made. Not too bothered as with the interest I'm still getting back more than I paid but just want to make sure they haven't made a mistake. :)

Great year to be born, and green eyes are nice:), thanks very helpful gives me a little idea:beer:

    Hi
Had put a claim into RBS for PPI paid on loan. In my reply they paid out PPI for 3 loans in all but gave me another 4 loan acc numbers dating back to 1992. They said that they couldn't find info to say whether I had paid PPI on these loans or not (certain I did as I remember going into bank and having no credit rating at this time was told I needed it). I then sent a SAR enclosing £10 cheque.Received a letter about 6 weeks later to say I hadn't enclosed £10. Duly cancelled that cheque and sent another 1. Have now received a letter enclosing my cheque and saying that due to high levels of people putting in for SAR's due to help with PPI complaints they have provided me with summary loan and PPI details. If I still want a full SAR or copies of loan agreements I need to send cheque back and let them know what info I'm looking for. They have given me the loans that I have already claimed for but no info on loans dating from 1992 -1997. Does this mean that even If I ask for a full SAR that they won't have anymore details on these loans? Should I just forget about these or does anyone have any advice on where I go from here.

    Sorry post is so long

I am preparing my letter to the Financial Ombudsman Re: PPI Rejection letter from Nationwide. I have had sound advice from Amersall on this forum, regarding pursuing my complaint, but i am still not sure what i need to include in my letter. As advised, I am enclosing copies of all the letters I have received from the Nationwide regarding my complaint, and my reply to them. I have downloaded the Ombudsman Complaint Form. Do I need to give any other specific details in my letter? I read an article online, stating that the Ombudsman does not look favorably on template letters, but much prefers to hear our individual human stories - i.e. our struggles, the situation we find ourselves in etc......Is this really necessary? I had planned to keep it short and to the point, enclosing all necessary documentation, with a cover letter, having completed all the necessary paperwork previously. I would be grateful for some help with this.

I have had a ppi claim in with Bank of Scotland since the 6/2/2012 and despite the case been prioritised several times I am still waiting they keep saying its still under investigation I've been waiting almost 16 weeks you'd have thought if they were going to say no they would have done it by now. Hope you receive a lovely windfall soon.

Thank you - I could certainly do with a windfall!

I'm sure some of the many experts on here have suggested that people who have been waiting ages write to the Chief Execs of the individual bank concerned. I've read a number of people on here doing just that and then getting results. Perhaps someone could give you the e-mail address of the Chief Exec of BOS. Also just think the longer they take the more interest they stand to give you if your claim is upheld. Good luck :)
    Success so far:

Bank charges refund plus interest: over £6000 :j
Mortgage PPI refund plus interest: over £9000 :j

Yes, but it need be no different than your posts on here. Just be honest about what happened and try not to be swayed into copying and pasting swathes of the MSE advice article

Just fill in the Ombudsman Questionnaire as completely and honestly as you can.

    Hi,
Like a lot of people I have used this site to gather information and look at what PPI I may have been missold, because of this, I have finally begun to face my depts and hopefully one day I will be dept free. currently I am waiting to hear from Citifiancial (loan and credit card), in regards to the loan when I spoke to them, she informed me that I had taken out 3 loans, but only the first one had PPI, I find this hard to believe, as the last loan was for over £18,000 and even with interrest I dont think I would have had such a large amount, so today I sent off another FOS form for the last 2 loans ( I have no paperwork, only bank statements).
I have also just sent off the form for Welcome finance, I spoke to an adviser today and he informed me that I had 4 loans, 3 had PPI, but I could only complain about one from 2006, the other were 2000 and 2001, and they were not regulated at that time. My first of many questions is can I complain about the earlier loans, and who to.
Thanks in advance, keep up the good work!!!!!

Another question I have is, I had PPI connected to my mortagage, when I spoke to the insurance company (Premier Writers) about complaining, he told me I had to complain to the broker who sold me the insurance, this was in 1999, and I have no details of the broker or what company he worked for, is there anything I can do to reclaim.
    Thank you.

It is possible, in fact very likely, even if you request this info on the 90s loans, they will not have the data anyway after all this time.
You could redo the Sar and see what they come back with, you may just be lucky, but after 15 years, I doubt the info would still be there

The early loans from Welcome, due to the year and Welcome were not regulated, you would not be able to do the mis sell for these, give the FOS a ring and ask if it is possible you could go down the Insurer route, they may say no, but at least you tried.

With the MPPI, you would need to know who the broker was, due to the year and you have no paperwork I would think you may struggle with this.
