    Hi and welcome

Yes there has been many who have had dealings with Tesco, like any other business really, there have been success, but keep at them anyway.

You simply just complete the reclaim complaint questionnaire below, send to whoever set up and sold you the accounts, I take it this was Tesco in your case, remember to keep copies as well, good luck on your reclaiming.;)

    Hi

Does anyone know if I would have anything to claim?

Since I was about 20 I'm now almost 31 I have had a loan with my current bank Barclays I settled that in 2010. Everytime I topped up the loan I was adamant that I didn't want PPI, could they have still applied it without me knowing?

I have also had car finance with Black Horse again adamant about not wanting PPI, and I currently have outstanding finance with vauxhall.

I discovered how usless PPI was about 10 years ago, I had a HSBC credit card which I defaulted on when my contract ended in my employment, I tried to claim through the PPI, I was told that I couldn't because I still lived at home with my parents, my Dad gave them some very choice words, but they refused to refund the PPI and sent me to a debt collectors. I think this was too long ago to claim and I don't have any of the account details, can anyone advise?

I currently have a Barclaycard which was original Monument, then I think Provident bought them and then Barclaycard bought them. I have a Platinum account with a outstanding balance of 3,900 on a APR of 24.9% I have asked on several occasions for this to be lowered to the current rates of the platinum cards which is between 7 and 18%, each time I have called I told because I was Monument or Provident this can't be done, so why do I have a platinum account?

I have already balanced transfered to Santander and Virgin but couldn't get the full balance and I find it difficult juggling all 3 creditcards, and a recent look at my credit report it is only fair, hence why I was also turned down for a loan.

I hope some of you can give me some advise, and I'm sorry if this should not be posted here.

    Thanks

I started my reclaims in January 2011, having taken inspiration from this website.

Last year I reclaimed the PPI on an M&S loan, which they then linked to 3 other loans. However, despite a SAR it appreared that there was no paperwork or information about these 3 loan to know if I had PPI. They were dated 1993, 1994 and 1997.
About 3 weeks ago I was clearing out a cupboard and found the paperwork! Best days cleaning I have ever done as this morning got a letter from M&S offering me just over £5500. Still can't quite believe it.

I have now successfully reclaimed every bit of PPI I have ever paid. I have completely cleared my debts (which were in the region of £50k) and I have money in the bank. What a fantastic feeling.

    Who needs a claims company?

A huge thank you to all on the website for their help and encouragement and good luck to everyone still in the process of reclaiming.

Made the first of 5 PPI complaints to Central Capital (other 4 are with different companies) on behalf of my g/f mid April and received a letter from them on Saturday morning upholding claim in full and will be returning her to the position she'd have been in if there was no PPI. :T

They are waiting information from the actual loan company on loan status etc before finalising amount and hope to pay out by the June 8 week deadline. As the loan still has 18 months to run I'm hoping that this is to recalculate the final 18 payments to remove the front loaded PPI rather than offset the refund. By my calcs refund should be approx £2400 with future loan repayments reduced by £29 a month.

Will update when payment received but just wanted to share a success and thank all who contribute to this site and those that have given advice along way
