    Hi Kuffs

    Please don't give up.
All the FAB people on here will keep you going.
I have a case with the FOS which has been with them for 3 years so I know it can get to you and you think whats the point- but the FAB people on here tell me don't give up :D

Thanks, it's just so exhausting and I can't believe that Norton Finance; the company responsible for this are allowed to carry on trading when they've ripped so many people off.
I could almost understand if this hadn't reached the FOS stage yet, but as I've explained before, it did, we won, and yet GE Money are still able to continue ripping off a young disabled woman who should never have been sold a loan or PPI in the first place. The fact that GE Money have no insisted that a further £700 (and interest) be repaid on top of the loan repayments, and the wretched PPI just proves greed rules and nobody really gives a flying **** about those who find things a little more difficult.

    :j  :j well done
Can I please just ask what reasons did you give for Miss - selling of ppi on your credit card?

I wasnt informed that it was optional or that there was a cooling off period. I didnt need it as I had good sick pay , critical illness insurance, death in service benefits and good job security. Also I wasnt advised that certain pre existing medical conditions would prevent a payout if I ever did claim . Hope you have success with your complaint .

I've been ringing them every week for an update and each time I get a different story one mintue they tell me they have everything they need and the next they tell me theyve requested even more info aaarrggghhh the last time I rang the lady on the phone said they would contact me when it waas resolved I didn't need to keep calling them, well I will keep ringing them, like you said in your other post if you don't keep pestering them you'll probably go to the bottom of the pile.....

update..... called barclaycard again, got same as before. "still waiting for info to get to them"....... i was polite, but very annoyed with them, and let them know it. said the word "court" and "see you in said place".......2 days later get letter saying i will get result by 31st of may..............so my advice is ,be polite, but let them know that your willing to take them to court if they dont pull there finger out,and stop playing stupid games.

That's plainly unacceptable. I suspect you'd be better taking this to FOS now, as the Bank don't seem to be making any movement at all. I understand you are reluctant to do this because of the time-scale, but are you (or they?) just delaying the inevitable?
  • About four weeks ago I called Lloyds as I was owed nearly £3000 in mis-sold PPI. I was sent a letter on Saturday telling me I would be getting my money shortly and it was in my bank by midday the following Monday. That's so quick, I was dumbfounded.
They were so helpful on the phone and even told me about a loan I had forgotten about that i could claim back the PPI on.:T

Just wanted to say thanks to all the advice and information available on this forum! Following on from making my own ppi refund claim of £4000, I then went onto advise friends, family and anyone I could about how to do it, even sitting with them before they made phone calls to start claims, so far over have claimed back over £20,000! In the process of helping hubby who has £8000 + interest to come back!!
Fantastic site, fantastic people and glad I could help so many people using comments/suggestions on this forum!! THANKS!!
  • Just wanted to share my joy after receiving my settlement letter today from MBNA. I took out my credit card some 12 years ago over the phone and was never given the option to opt out of PPI. After realising a year later it had been applied to my account, I called MBNA to request it be removed. This never happened ! To my embarrassment, I went for a long long time not checking my statements and paying the minimum amount on a balance of around £8000. After seeing adverts on TV recently saying they could get back my PPI premiums I thought great, let's give it a go. But only after seeing your websites great advice on raising a complaint myself i completed the form and sent it off to MBNA. In short, it took just over 6 weeks and I have just received a settlement offer for £14,487 ! I really couldn't be happier. Take it from me, you guys really know your financial onions !!! A heartfelt thank you from my family and I.
