I have been reading at length about PPI. I have no documentation about my loans or agreements but i hvae had quote a few of them.
I started by looking at the tips and steps and have come across my first stumbling block.
I logged on for my £2 credit report to obtain details of my loans and the corresponding account numbers; however it does not show the full account agreement only the last 4 digits, how can i proceed witht he letters without the full string?
Thanks
Hello there
For loans, have you tried checking bank statements, where you paid the monthly repayments from?
If you still bank with the same bank, you can check your direct debts through them, the name of the business and account number should be enclosed on bank statements, if you bank online this may allow you to go back to about 7 years.
Or call in your local branch, they should check these details for you.
Good luck.
You can then of course still try to make a reclaim/complaint with the details you do have, and they will try tracking them down, just make them aware that you know there were loans taken out on so and so a date and if you know the end date that will be a help. (Tell them you know because you have the details on a credit report), they should still be able to look into your reclaiming complaint.
You can do this by completing the reclaim questionnaire below, send to their complaints or head office of whoever set up and sold you the policy at the start, and keep copies as well, good luck.

Has anyone had experiance of MBNA not putting PPI on your monthly statements, but still charging you for PPI within your monthly interest?
MBNA are refunding me for PPI payments from 1998 to December 2004 but informed me that after January 2005 PPI was removed... Yet my monthly payments stayed the same!!! Seems that I was covertly paying PPI after January 2005.:(0 -
I have received a cheque today for £4,564.32 (tax deducted at source) from Firstplus.
I originally wrote for my terms and conditions on 14th March, then forwarded the questionnaire from this site explaining the employee benefits I had, which were never discussed or enquired about. I also have a lifelong chronic health problem which would have been an exclusion (not explained during the sales call). The premium was also front loaded.
They were very quick to respond and very polite.
Congratulations to everyone who has managed to get their money back and good luck to those still waiting.Onwards and upwards! :rotfl:

Hi
Have you contacted them to find out about this?
Ask for a written breakdown to see what is what with the PPI, as they said the payments were stopped, and yet the repayments stayed the same, I would ask why they have not reduced the monthly repayments if that of the PPI was removed from the balance.
Was this loan or credit card ppi?The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Well done all just starting my ppi journey don't think I will have much luck but you never no .
This might be a stupid question but here I go .
I had a mbna cc starting in 2001 and defaulted in 2008 owning near enough 13,000 which I have been paying back over time near enough £200 a month but with no interest or expenses added so I have a about a year left to clear.i rang mbna about something and in the mean time I asked if I had ppi on the cc which they said yes and are going to send me a questionnaire in the next 5 days.i was wondering during 2001/08 I had ppi I did not know I had what would have happened if I got made redundant or became ill during that time ? Also what happens if I got made redundant or I'll while I'm on default has the ppi stopped ? .lucky I have work cover but just wondering .0 -

Hi All,
I took out a loan with Barclays in 2005 over 84 months for 12,100. The monthly payments were 299.40 and I do have some kind of ppi.
On my experian report it states the starting balance was 16,100 so I assume this was interest added on.
I applied in March this year about my ppi and today heard that that have accepted my claim and an offer and an agreement to sign is on the way. With interest of 8% does anyone have a rough idea of what I may get back. I only have one payment left to make on the loan later this month.
In my book 299.40 over 84 months equates to over £25,000 paid back in total including any interest on the loan.
Thanks0
