Write to the FOS with the complaint, put a copy in of the rejection and add the reasons I gave below, put that you were a full time student and would not have been able to make a complaint on the unemployment cover of the PPI or the sickness part either as you were not working and you would have had to pay the card as you usually would have, put that you cleared this card when you graduated.
You could send a reply back to Santander and see what they come back with, as this is a final response they may not acknowledge you, put that you reject the reasons they are not upholding and ask them to consider the addition info, it is worth a try, you could do this over the phone and see what they say, then you will know if you have to send this to FOS.
Hi amersall
I have read on another post that if you get an fos leaflet with a letter response -this can mean final response. I had this with lloyds. So does this mean letter I sent today they might not acknowledge? How long should I give them before a reply?0 -

Just received my 'final response' letter from Santander regarding my Dot Perkins acct, the mis selling of account cover is not being up held, end of. They have enclosed a copy of the credit agreement i signed in the shop.
Can i ask them for a copy of the account cover policy summary? (being just 18 when i applied for this i wouldnt have read or probably even opened the letter!)
I was also a full time student when i took out this store card and continued to be full time student for 4 years, a year after graduating i paid off account and closed it - i didnt put this in my claim, should i off?
thanks
Hi there
I would write back, even if this was a final decision and ask them to reconsider by 14 days, tell them you you have further information that is relevant to your complaint, you were a full time student at the time of taking out the policy, so it was therefore worthless to you anyway.
Defo keep at them, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Am I right in thinking that on credit card statements PPI would have to be shown separate? Or would the interest amount shown include PPI.
Its Nationwide and Barclaycard
Hiya
I think on my it were shown separately, yet mine was Lloyds and some years ago.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hello all!!
Just wanted to post my sucess on here to keep you all feeling positive!! Sent off claims for several loans the end of March had the usual standard letter back in response. Chased several times via email and also emailed the chief execs pretend email several times too. Have been reading this thread since, but too be honest wasn't sure if I would have success. One claim I rang and gave details over the phone and the other for loans going back to 1998 they sent me out a questionnaire-in my emails I added even more details to why I believe I had been mis sold. As much detail as you can remember I think is key and also a firm but polite manner that you want an outcome in your favour. Received first email last thurs saying my refund was being processed (WAHHOOO!) and then a letter followed monday saying 3k refund, checked my account and funds already in my account! Received email today in relation to older loans saying the same "refund being processed blah blah..." rang and asked the amount for these loans....another 3k! So happy, this will be such a difference to me. Have to say Lloyds have been very quick for me, and also staff when Ive rung chasing very helpful. Hope this gives you all hope!;)0 -
Well done to you all for your success, Congratulations all round!

Anyone any info on claims with underwriters?
(sorry if you have read the following on my other post)
Had a case with FOS for 3 years-they are looking now at my claim to go against the underwriters (there advice)
Spoke to them today for update:
Waiting for adjudicator but can't appoint one at the moment due to insurance companies not happy and don,t accept Fos response.
They are awaiting results of lead cases before they can even allocate to an adjudicator0 -
Please help me ,i had a phone call last year from a so called company by the name of charge right, who explained to me they could claim ppi and mis sold mortgage fees totaling appox £28000,to good to be true i thought, when they wanted £300 up front,i checked them out on the net and they are regulated by the ministry of justice,i asked them to call me back at the end of the month, which they did and i payed them,to my stupidness by debit card,i then left it a week after receiving loads of paper work, and contacted them saying i did not want to go ahead, and wanted my money back, which i got the next day! i then thought they were legit, say repayed them to Carrie on with various claims etc, then after a few months the paper work stoped coming and i was unable to contact them, know i desperate to get the money back,i know ive been stupid but i trusted them after the first refund, can anyone help me PLEASE.0

The letter should say final response, if it does then go to FOS, if not, then write back to them.0
