    Hi there

Many thanks for the reply .

Reason for going into default was my silly fault due to living of the credit cards and maxing them out and the interest catching me up .

I have stayed in the same job over the period of having the cc but claiming due to the fact I have life/sickness/ and working for a law firm always give good redundancy packages so never needed PPI cover .

On my statement each month I get while being on default there is no mention of PPI so that why I'm wondering if it has stopped if so they have never sent me this in writing is that something I can put in the questionaire once I receive it ?.

    Hiya

I would send in a reclaim questionnaire anyway and make that reclaim, they will refund you what you have paid and should therefore enclose details of the breakdown, so basically if the ppi ceased the breakdown should also confirm that.

    Go for it.
    Good luck.:)

We wrote to Firstplus regarding a mis sold PPI and got £40,000 back.

Oh my god - thats fantastic. i have a claim in the First Plus at the moment although Im not expecting such a huge payout. How long did it take for them to respond/payout?

    Well done you!!!:T

Wishing you luck on your reclaiming.
They should forward you a acknowledgement letter and reference, so if you want to forward further information to them you can do so.

So I take it now you are just waiting for the above letter to confirm your complaint?

Let us know how you get on, fingers crossed.:)

I've received the acknowledgment letters but i was wondering if the info from my company (sickness pay and redundancy packages) would be of use to my claim? Does anybody know if having sickness cover and redundancy from a company is sufficient cover in order not to require PPI?

    Many thanks.

    Hi
    Sorry missed this part earlier.
You should mention that of the cover package you have with your employer and that this was in place at the time the policy was sold to you. I do think this would be relevant to your complaint.

Can anyone help with my situation please, as im pretty new to all this, in a nutshell i had a barclaycard with a credit limit of 5,000, i payed what was outstanding in october of last year, the sum of around 1,600. I sent a letter to them asking for my T and C 4 weeks ago, last week i got a letter from them saying basically my account has been suspended, so i rang them yesterday to ask why, they then told me my account has been closed due to the fact i asked for my terms of conditions, and that i was looking to make a claim!!!! can they do this to me, i was so shocked that they actually came right out and said that, what do i do, if anything.

    Thanks

You needed to do a Sar request, they think you want the agreement to get out of paying the debt if they cannot find this, you have the card number and PPI showing on the statement so just put the claim in.

i posted this on main forum site but got no response just seeing if anyone can give me any ideas....

Just received my 'final response' letter from Santander regarding my Dot Perkins acct, the mis selling of account cover is not being up held, end of. They have enclosed a copy of the credit agreement i signed in the shop.

Can i ask them for a copy of the account cover policy summary? (being just 18 when i applied for this i wouldnt have read or probably even opened the letter!)

I was also a full time student when i took out this store card and continued to be full time student for 4 years, a year after graduating i paid off account and closed it - i didnt put this in my claim, should i off?

    thanks

Write to the FOS with the complaint, put a copy in of the rejection and add the reasons I gave below, put that you were a full time student and would not have been able to make a complaint on the unemployment cover of the PPI or the sickness part either as you were not working and you would have had to pay the card as you usually would have, put that you cleared this card when you graduated.
You could send a reply back to Santander and see what they come back with, as this is a final response they may not acknowledge you, put that you reject the reasons they are not upholding and ask them to consider the addition info, it is worth a try, you could do this over the phone and see what they say, then you will know if you have to send this to FOS.

Am I right in thinking that on credit card statements PPI would have to be shown separate? Or would the interest amount shown include PPI.
    Its Nationwide and Barclaycard
