Natwest and RBS are one and the same. If you complain to the FO you will get it all back hold out. I spoke to the PPI complaints team in Manchester who have been set up to settle ppi complaints. The FO are sending cases in bulk in date order to the team and are settling them as if they won through the FO so you get back the ppi, the interest and the statutory. I can only presume it is to avoid a fine from the FSA. Get the complint to the FO if you arent desperate for immediate cash as you will end up getting the lot back like me

Thanks everyone for your advice i have completed my complaint form to the FO today and sent Nat west a copy. I will keep everyone informed. Thanks Again;)

on the subject of lloyds... i have 2 loans with ppi on which i am trying to reclaim, and i got the same letter as mentioned above. i already wrote in to cancel my ppi so does that mean i have to ring in as well? sounds to me like no one wins with lloyds? has anyone had luck with them on the loan ppi reclaim front?

    HI CONGRATULATIONS
CAN YOU TELL ME HOW LONG THIS TOOK AND IF YOU HAD TO GO THRU THE FOS?I HAVE BEEN WAITING SINCE OCTOBER FOR MY PPI CLAIM WITH BARCLAYS.THANKS

    Hi
It has taken about 6 weeks - I didnt have to go to FOS - just wrote first letter then got acknowledgement letter saying they would give me a response in 4 weeks - the day before the 4 weeks was up they sent me another letter saying they were really busy and they would get back to me in another 4 weeks. I then got a phone call after another 2 weeks offering to refund my PPI as unfortunately for the bank (but fortunately for me!!!) they didnt have any information to prove that I had wanted to take out the PPI. I would phone and chase if you have been waiting that long. I thought they were meant to reply within 8 weeks?? I did phone and chase every 3/4 days just to keep them on their toes :rotfl:
    Good luck

    Hi there

I think we all received the same standard response, although my case is resolved now in regards of the credit card ppi, I have the loan ppi to go yet, the credit card case was resolved through the FOS.
My husband's is being dealt with them now......so we are expecting to wait a little while before he hears anything.

    Good luck with yours.;) XX

    Hi there,

I've very nearly had success with Alliance & Leicester.

Had a loan with them and was mis-sold the PPI. Having received a letter from them stating this, I sent them a letter back from the ones provided on this site and 2 weeks ago had an offer from A&L of which I'm now just awaiting my cheque........

Thanks Martin and all on this site who have helped!
