Hi Guys
Just to let you know I have been successful in reclaiming back just over £3300.00 and its all thanks to you and your website. I used your template letter and tried to claim for 3 loans. One was successful straight away without going to the Ombudsman.
So thanks so much. Would never have thought of it. Oh and the bank involved, it was the Abbey!!!!!
Go on give it a go for the cost of a first class stamp.
Regards

Received confirmation from A & L that they would be upholding my complaint and a cheque would be with me soon and a new cheaper loan arranged.
Another success with Egg card although I am thinking of challenging them, just not too sure what for! I sent a SAR form to them and they received it on the 11th Jan and I was told by the man on the phone that they acknowledge that request on the 22nd Jan. I still have no statements of my PPI despite it going over the forty day mark. After complaining about the misselling of the ppi I have recieved a letter stating that they agree and will refund all payments made and 8% interest. It has already been credited to my account!
They have not given me a breakdown of how the figures were calculated, not given me the opportunity to accept or decline the offer and is 8% interest acceptable on an account that charges 19.9%. Also there was no cumulative interest? Any advice?0 -

Hi there
Well done to you anyway. :T  .
I would contact them to ask them for these figures and breakdown, and tell them you want the chance to know what the offer is, so you need to know so you can decide.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Well the first letter of response is back after a week.
Dear Mr Rusty
I am writing to let you know that we've received your complaint and to say how sorry we are to learn that your unhappy(So they should be!).Your complaint has been passed to Lloyds TSB Insurance,as we will investigate your concerns you have raised on behalf of Lloyds TSB Bank Plc.
You have my assurance that one of our case handlers will investigate the concerns you have raised.
This may take a little time(we need to see if we can worm our way out of it!)but we will do our best to complete our "enquiries" as soon as we can.We will then be able to respond in full to your complaint, and at that stage,I hope resolve matters.
Please note that if wish to cancel Your insurance policy(I do,I do especially at £120 a month!)whilst we investigate your concerns please visit a Lloyds TSB branch (Where upon arrival you will be taken to a room "out back" and have electrodes attached to your Nads until you get round too our way of thinking!)or alternatively contact the Personal Loan Service Centre on telephone No 0800 096 1282(Bloody Hell a free phone number!).
In case you haven't received a copy of our leaflet called "Resolving Your Complaint" I've enclosed one with my letter. This tells you all you need to know about resolving your complaint.
If you would like to add anything to the information you have already given us,please get in touch on 0845 300 55 99(calls charged at £3 a minute!)

Customer Care,Lloyds TSB Insurance rip off department.
After some more high pressure selling techniques from the woman at the other end explaining to me that if I didn't have this insurance I would be battered with fire and brimstone or words to that effect,I held fast and got it taken off.
Now here comes the good bit.
I thought it would be just a case of the payment for the premium being removed and just carrying on as before BUT oh no.
She said that it wasn't as simple as that and said I'd have set up a new loan agreement with out PPI added which we did on the phone but I haven't signed any papers yet until I get some advise from here.
A settlement figure was worked out obviously adding any outstanding interest.
The new monthly repayment figure is £33.35 more than it was if I were to stay with the original agreement(which they say I can't do).
The original agreement was £274.77+£120.77 for the PPI premium and the new figure is(if I wish to take it)£308.12 without the PPI agreement!
I have a strong hunch that their trying to rip me off again and I think this is wrong.
I haven't got a problem with paying them what I owe them BUT they shafted me into the PPI in the first instance and I can't see why I shouldn't be paying them the original amount minus the PPI premium.
Please advise.Never skimp on Shoes,Tea bags and fishing tackle!0
