    Hi

I emailed and after about a week got my rejection re Egg cc saying they couldn't find a policy (although thye will look at again if I can find any paperwork!!). I then emailed again a couple of days after that for my other cc and about a week later got my rejection for my Barclaycard cc with (what I thought) a bit of a snippy letter and reasons why they rejected

    Good luck with yours

    Thanks Terence13

I rang them today they are apparently waiting for a copy of the original loan agreement from egg which they say they applied for on 17 Feb, the girl I spoke to said it should be about 2 week when I hear something, just enough time if I,m being cynical to get a response out, still no reply to my e-mail to the CEO though.
One to go to the FOS me thinks
  • The mortgage is now in my name only I bought my ex partner out, do I still need ex partners signature?

Some have won mis sell with loans from the 90s so if you have the account number and reasons for mis sell then put a claim in.

With joint loans they need both signatures, if you win redress the redress will be in joint names to go to a joint bank account.

Thanks, the mortgage was transfered in my name only and has the same account number, do I still require ex partners signature? What happens if you do not know where the person is?

    Congratulations on your win!

Could I just ask what your reasons for it being missold were??

    Thanks

Over the phone just told the lady who took my call that i didn't want it and i didn't need it due to having 28yrs in the NHS - with good sickness, redundancy and death benefits .
Also that there was no discussion when i took the loan as to its suitability for my circumstances.

    Good Luck with your claim

    Thanks

I have tried 6 different phone numbers for Lombard today, 2 not available anymore. The other 4 have same recorded message and no customer service. Have googled the number for customer service and tried them all. Just wait for the postman.

Have you tried RBS PPI number in Manchester as I think Lombard are owned by RBS?

    Good luck!!:)

    Advice FOS and Goldfish/Barclaycard

I took out a goldfish credit card when I was 26 which was filled out by myself after being prompted by the sales person on what to tick etc etc.

I still have the card and cancelled the PPI for this last April 2011 after than realising I was paying this out, I lived at home with my parents and also had sick benefits from my work as well as stat redundancy.

I phones Barclays about this and they told me they would be sending out a questionnaire, I never received this and then got a letter from them saying they were not upholding my complaint and that was their final response.

As you can imagine I wasnt best pleased, I then sent this with the completed questionnaire to FOS and stating they hadn't even got the questionnaire before deciding they were not upholding my complaint in Oct 11.

The FOS replied saying that they would need time to look into this and a week before Xmas was told they needed another 3 months.

I then received a letter from then 2 days before end March saying that they would need another six months and that it could take upto a year to get a response which would be from Dec 11.

Firstly, has anyone had a successful application against Goldfish now Barclaycard?

    2. Why is the FOS saying Dec 11 when they acknowledged receipt of complaint in Oct 11?

    3. Has anyone had a complaint upheld by the FOS and how long did it take?

Many Thanks and Good Luck to everyone
  • Got a letter today from AMEX to say that while they do not accept any responsibility for me having PPI i didnt want or really know about they are willing to pay back ALL the payments i made PLUS interest as a "good will gesture" Total Reclaim: 1000 pounds. Thank you MSE!!

I also had a card with MBNA but cannot remember any of the numbers or details for it so i'm a little unsure as to where to go from there. I also defaulted on the account but paid back every penny eventually without ever claiming. Old online bank statements just say MBNA but not any acc numbers. I was toying with the idea of just filling in what details i could remember and see what happens??

MBNA have finally got back to me after I queried their initial rejection saying that they stand by their decision saying that yes PPI was applied to my account at my request ?? and by ticking a box it would have been made clear to me that I understood what it was all about. But I never did understand what it was all about and I certainly didnt request it and wouldnt have ticked a box to voluntarily pay more money anyway.

So, they say I must refer to the Finanacial Ombudsman Service which may well be a waste of time but I am going to try anyway. My question is - is there another form / procedure to do this or do I just write to them?

ETA : sorry meant to post under discussion topic not success / failures - not sure how to move

    thanks.
