Hi
Well done on your success.
No harm in contacting them to get this checked out, if you've had no letter to explain, I would be contacting to ask what the payment was in aid of.
Good luck.;)
Thank you!
Still miffed by the fact that everyone I have spoken to regarding their claims seems to actually had some sort of offer letter way before any actual payments?!
I just get sent some money with no explanation!?
To be honest, I am still waiting to even hear if i have actually have a valid claim!!
I have sent an email to customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk and I await a response........if I get one that is!

What were you reclaiming: A loan taken in 2008, paid in full end of 2011
Who was the provider: Citifinancial
How much did you get back: Todays letter says £3045.19 to be sent out in 2 weeks
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: I sent the template letter saying it was not explained and we were pushed into it.
Fantastic.
Sent the letter 22 Feb so I think 2 months from start to finish is not bad at all.
To anyone thinking of doing it, I would say give it a go.0 -
Hurrah,
Only had 1 credit card with Barclaycard and have been paying PPI which was mis-sold ,as I have always worked in the public sector.
They have just informed me that they are to refund me 516GBP. Yay yay yay! It was so easy with Martins idiots guide even an idiot like me was able to complete the form and reclaim what I was owed. So nice to feel that I have finally got something back.
Thankyou Martin and your team xxxx0 -
is there a PPI reclaim company that anyone would recommend? I have a complicated claim to a number of accounts, and need help!
Thank youMeep, I'd would advise against using any PPI reclaim companies, unless of course you would potentially like to give away thousands of pounds for someone doing a job that you can do yourself.
I'm sure there's plenty of other here that would say the same.
If you need help, there's plenty of good advice on this site.

Please take notice of what Ronnie says, you don't need to use a claims company. There is so much help and info on this site and you get to keep all your own money if you win:)0 -

No1: The return of the Certified Death Certificate borrowed from the Insurance Co. which I sent with the SECOND lot of paperwork
No 2: ALL of the paperwork I had sent earlier (including the Certified Death Certificate) which the bank told me had NOT arrived. This they return because I have not given them the number - which I was told on the telephone I did not need, if I gave them all the details I had. I suppose next I'll get all the second lot back.
Okay so now I'll have to do a SARS.
I am getting a little paranoid, why do I get different stories from different people in the same bank?
I'm sorry to hear you are having such a horrible time with the bank.
If the loans are still running the bank should give you the numbers. If the loans are finished do you have any old bank statements with payment details on? Perhaps you could use these to find out your loan account numbers and phone and speak to the bank involved.
If all else fails you are right you will need to do a sar.
I'm sure there will be someone along later to give you some more help.
Wishing you all the best xx0 -

Thank you. I paid off the loan after my husband died and have moved twice - the paperwork is long gone. I gave ALL the details possible as instructed by a member of staff at the bank, but they don't all sing from the same hymn sheet obviously.
The SAR is in the post - my beef is the inefficiency and conflicting "stories"0 -

Thank you
How complicated?, you do all the "complicated bit" the claims co just take a fee for putting the claim in.
You will get all the help you need on this site for free, you have to do all the hard work so why pay someone else a fee.0 -
Hi, I thought I'd share my experience with you and ask a little advise while I'm at it. I recently got a letter from Santander informing me that i might have been mis sold PPI on a loan I had taken out with them in 2004. I filled up the questionaire retuned it to them and got a replay within 2 weeks offering me £14k + to say I was taken aback is an understatement. I then checked some other loans I had and they have all had PPI added, so i decided to send in a claim with these other banks. I have read the how to claim section but I am a little unclear as to whether or not I just fill out the questionaire and enclose the appropriate paperwork or whether to put a covering letter with it. Thanks in advance for any help.
You fill the questionnaire in just as you did with Santander, you only need the loan account number, or card number if it is a Credit Card and reasons for mis sell, make a copy of these in case you have to go to the Financial Ombudsman, if you send any additional paperwork only send copies.0 -

I wrote to LLoyds TSB on 01/03/12 regarding being mis-sold PPI, and I am surprised by the quick turnaround. However, I have paid out some £3850 in PPI, so I am not sure what this smaller amount relates to!?
I was under the impression that it was total premiums paid plus 8% interest?
I will wait and see if I receive a letter and hopefully that will explain everything. I am of course happy to have received something, but just a little confused. I just thought that I was either mis-sold PPI or I wasn't, but I seem to have received a partial refund, so maybe I was partially mis-sold PPI?!?!?!

The 8% is taxable if you are a taxpayer, if the bank has not taken the tax off then you must notify HMRC.0
