Anybody had any experience with the Lloyds PPI philippines Call Centre ? -

wow its like drawing your back teeth ! 25mins on the phone and ive got nowhere !! .... yet again ..

15 weeks to investigate my credit card claim and they still cant give me an answer on whats happening ..

Oh YES ANDY325, I have!! I got through to someone there a couple of days ago who was pleasant enough, but next to useless. I asked him where he was, to which he replied, Manila, and said that they take random calls when the UK team are busy. He didn't seem sure of anything he said, so I asked him if he could put me through to someone UK based. Of course, he couldn't, so I politely hung up and took the chance to ring back in, thinking I'd get more sense out of someone this end. How wrong was I? I ended up getting a woman who was so fond of her own voice, that I couldn't get a word in edgeways. Needless to say it didn't end well, and I was forced to put something in writing instead....

    I feel your pain:silenced::)

Full redress is PPI premium refund plus 8% interest. No "associated" late or over limit fees will be refunded.

Thanks for your response. I wasn't sure where I stood on this one and only asked the question as the breakdown of my refund from RBS included a "refund of erroneous overlimit fees" and refund of "compound interest on erroneous fees"

Perhaps they have a different policy for calculating refunds?

    Thanks so much Benji,
I'm okay. Yes it was a bit of a shock to have to start over again but i'm feeling positive.

I can't believe the wonderful people on here(you know who you are;)) come on here day in day out to offer advice, never get cross with us, always answer us, without question and don't get paid. Thankyou you are:A:A:A

    Hi,
I received a response from MBNA today upholding my PPI complaint :j

Breakdown of settlement is as follows:
    PPI premiums refunded £264.00
    Associated interest £317.64
    8% interest £387.92
    Amount payable £969.56

From the information received previously from my SAR, I note that I was charged many over limit fees. Would I be right to say that these should be refunded if, after reconstructung my account without PPI and associated interest, I was within my agreed credit limit?

Should I query the above offer on this basis or just accept?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Congratulations :j  :j
Hope you dont have to wait to long for your money

I checked my bank account yesterday and found a credit of £755.69 in there, listed as 'PPI Refund'!?

I wrote to LLoyds TSB on 01/03/12 regarding being mis-sold PPI, and I am surprised by the quick turnaround. However, I have paid out some £3850 in PPI, so I am not sure what this smaller amount relates to!?

I was under the impression that it was total premiums paid plus 8% interest?

I will wait and see if I receive a letter and hopefully that will explain everything. I am of course happy to have received something, but just a little confused. I just thought that I was either mis-sold PPI or I wasn't, but I seem to have received a partial refund, so maybe I was partially mis-sold PPI?!?!?! ;)

    Hi
    Well done on your success.

No harm in contacting them to get this checked out, if you've had no letter to explain, I would be contacting to ask what the payment was in aid of.

    Good luck.;)
