Hi all! I've just had a successful claim with Lloyds tsb.

I took out a 3K loan in 2007 and refinanced in 2009 for an extra £1500.

My local branch called me for a meeting at the end of Feb regarding my PPI. they basically said the PPi I was paying for wasn't valid anymore and I wasn't covered for anything. They provided me with different PPi options, talked me through them etc. I asked if PPi was optional because when i first took out the loan I was told that I couldn't have the loan unless i took out the PPi and it was mandatory. The guy at my local branch said I had a good chance to claim for a refund & to contact the dedicated PPi claim line.

I Called the Lloyd PPi claim line on 6th March and put my claim forward. I received a letter to acknowledge my claim exactly a week later. Checked my bank account this morning and i received a refund of £1650 from Lloyds! Just little over 6 weeks i put my claim forward! Amazing! I still haven't received a letter from them telling me I've been refunded the money, which is odd, but lloyds have been quite speedy in this case!

Im absolutely ecstatic...I wish everyone good luck with their claims! =)

Give them another week to acknowledge the claims, they have 14 days to respond but take into account the day they may have received it and when it was looked at.

I am waiting with baited breath for the outcome of your FP loan, so please keep me posted.

    Thanks amersall
Next update from Fos due end of May so will keep you posted.

    Hi all

Wanted to announce that I've had another success today! HSBC have offered me £3,824.00 for 2 loans and 2 credit cards. I'm over the moon couldn't believe it when I opened the post this morning. Quick question though they said they would uphold my complaint on another card but because they haven't got copy statements as it is over 6 years old they cannot calculate the amount payable to me, I haven't got any statements as I got rid when I cancelled the card, has anyone been in this situation too?

First of all, a big Thank you to Martin and the MoneySavingExpert website for it's easy to follow step by step guide on how to reclaim mis-sold PPI.

My complaint was regarding mis-sold Credit Card PPI.

    The provider was MBNA.

I recieved a full refund of the £867 that I had paid out in PPI payments, plus interest on top of £1,796, resulting in a total payment of £2663.

I sent off the Financial Ombudsman's questionaire printed from this website direct to MBNA.

I applied for this credit card online pre July 2007, and knew that I would have never knowingly signed up to any kind of PPI, so I sent off the questionaire with the details of my complaint.

Within 4 weeks of posting my questionaire I recieved a letter from MBNA advising me that my complaint was being upheld, and I would recieve a full refund of the payments, plus my account would be restructured and interest applied at 8%.

I then recieved a cheque for the amount of £2,663 within a week of the letter. :j

Well done MBNA for dealing with my complaint so efficiently :T

    PPI Party Pooper
    Hi,
I received a response from MBNA today upholding my PPI complaint :j

Breakdown of settlement is as follows:
    PPI premiums refunded £264.00
    Associated interest £317.64
    8% interest £387.92
    Amount payable £969.56

From the information received previously from my SAR, I note that I was charged many over limit fees. Would I be right to say that these should be refunded if, after reconstructung my account without PPI and associated interest, I was within my agreed credit limit?

Should I query the above offer on this basis or just accept?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Full redress is PPI premium refund plus 8% interest. No "associated" late or over limit fees will be refunded.
