    Hi All,

I took the plunge and called Natwest about my closed credit card.
Always ran close to my £2.5k limit for two years. Did everything over the phone and got back £670

    This was just before Christmas.

Now have sent of letters for this little lot:

    Egg Loan
    Egg Credit Card
    capital one credit card
    barclays mortgage x 2
    RBS Credit Card
    Natwest Mortgage x2
HSBC loan hsbc loan protection hsbc
    hsbc mastercard july 09
hsbc loan X 6 various amounts and times...all paid off
Nationwide Mortgage X 2 All paid

Sent letters to everyone yesterday so will update when I have some news

    Cheers

    Paul

    Hi,

Egg have responded with an offer of £1209 for either the loan or the card. Its not clear from the letter which.
HSBC have confirmed the Flexiloan but cant find anything else so I'm pusing this one again :)

Hi, I thought I'd share my experience with you and ask a little advise while I'm at it. I recently got a letter from Santander informing me that i might have been mis sold PPI on a loan I had taken out with them in 2004. I filled up the questionaire retuned it to them and got a replay within 2 weeks offering me £14k + to say I was taken aback is an understatement. I then checked some other loans I had and they have all had PPI added, so i decided to send in a claim with these other banks. I have read the how to claim section but I am a little unclear as to whether or not I just fill out the questionaire and enclose the appropriate paperwork or whether to put a covering letter with it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Meep, I'd would advise against using any PPI reclaim companies, unless of course you would potentially like to give away thousands of pounds for someone doing a job that you can do yourself.

I'm sure there's plenty of other here that would say the same.

If you need help, there's plenty of good advice on this site.

  • Hi
Please does anyone know the current address of regency mortgage corporation, I want to send in a claim form for ppi and can't find a U.k address.

    Many Thanks.
  • Hello Jean,
This is great news. We will all be holding your hand and rooting for you every step of the way:):)

My SAGA continues. The mail just arrived, 2 envelopes:

No1: The return of the Certified Death Certificate borrowed from the Insurance Co. which I sent with the SECOND lot of paperwork

No 2: ALL of the paperwork I had sent earlier (including the Certified Death Certificate) which the bank told me had NOT arrived. This they return because I have not given them the number - which I was told on the telephone I did not need, if I gave them all the details I had. I suppose next I'll get all the second lot back.

Okay so now I'll have to do a SARS.

I am getting a little paranoid, why do I get different stories from different people in the same bank?
  • Hi, my name is Rich and i'd like to share my success story:

(kinda feels like a group therapy sess :) )

I made a claim against Lloyds tsb several months ago for my PPI charges on two seperate bank loans. I came across the instructions Martin and his team have posted up and read them through several times....followed them point by point.

Today I have received two almost identical letters from my bank saying they will repay me almost £4k in PPI payments made over the last 7/8 years.

Im just kiddy at the moment!!! I can't express my graditute enough to the good people at MSE....if any of you are in Stafford i will gladly buy you a beer. This money will help me family so much.

....and all its cost me is a couple of stamps and a couple of quid to photocopy my documents at the local library.

Martin and MSE staff.....I LOVE YOU ALL x
  • Just thought I would share my story.

Had a MBNA card years ago - balance currently with debt collection agency via my debt management plan but in Feb was sorting through some paperwork and found an old statement showing PPI on the account.

So i rang the cc helpline was told that yes I had had PPI on the past on my card did i want to be put through to the ppi reclaim department which i did. Spoke to a lovely man who took my details and asked why i thought i had been missold to which i replied "well I thought it was a pre-requiste of the card ' which is true as had no PPI on any other cards as I always declined it.

A week later I had a letter acknowledging my claim and in March a letter arrived confirming they had missold me PPI and were refunding around 2500 :j:j:j

The Cheque arrived just before Easter - best 10 min phone call I have ever made
Been stupid but have no regrets starting to slowly sort my finances now the kids are growing
