Hi only-mee I am now on my 11th week they only noticed there mistake when I phoned to find out what was happening after 8 weeks and discovered they had lumped my loan and credit card together even though they had two separate account numbers. The ppi advisor said that they were sorry for the mistake and would give the case priority that was on the 2nd of April and I haven't heard anything since. Does anyone have any idea how long priority cases take. Many thanks in advance.:)

They have given you the PPI back and the 8%, with loans, the PPI payment includes the interest and this would be full redress.

Not sure if this applies to MPPI though.

Unless you paid this PPI as a separate payment and you know how much the PPI was and the interest on this and you know they have not given you the interest then take this further.

    Hi there

Wishing you luck and hope you hear soon.
It's difficult to predict a timescale, but if yours is way over the timescales given and now they said it's priority, they should basically be dealing with it immediately.

Do contact them for another update, if time is going on again, good luck.;)

I have tried to phone HMRC today to inform them of PPI refunds (I owe about £240 which as before they would take from my wages every 4 weeks).

Was on hold for about half an hour, no answer, do you think this is because today is Tax Day?

Also, will I get in trouble for not informing them in time for tax day or that only applicable for people who are self employed?

    Thanks
  • Have received a cheque for £150 from MBNA without any issues and within 2 weeks of registering a complaint.
I was astounded. I had a credit card with them when I married 10 years ago, closed the account approx 8 years ago and had shredded all but 1 statement which I had kept for sentiment for wedding purchases. This showed my account number and clearly stated I had paid PPI.
I completed the FSA form and sent to MBNA recorded delivery. Had a holding response within 3 days saying they would look into it. Then had a letter saying they had found my complaint to be upheld and they would send a cheque within 28 days. 2 days later cheque arrived.
Thanks to your thread and advice this has given us a lovely financial boost to help pay for a holiday this year.

Wish the PPI issues with Zenith Windows & First National/GE Money was as straightforward.
  • Sent off many letters to various banks/credit card companies asking if they could check ppi on our old loans/cards!
Received reply off Barclays with 6 questionnaires to fill in! As all these loans and cards have been paid off we no longer have any paperwork so filled in what we could and sent off! That was about 5 weeks ago! Is this too long to have waited for just a reply! My partner is in the navy and as these are his loans they will not discuss it with me!

MBNA replied stating they were looking into our complaint and then another letter apologising for the delay and they will issue a response by 26th April!

Egg ( barclaycard) have sent a questionnaire which I've filled in today and set off!

Norther rock(nram)-A loan I'd completely forgot on about, have sent out a letter to me as my previous address informing me of Ppi I had on a loan! I hadnt even sent them a letter! I've replied stating I wish to make a complaint as I knew nothing of the Ppi!
  • Dear Forumers, I need your help please... or maybe if you can point me in the right direction, I would be most grateful. Thanks!

    I made 2 PPi claims.
The claim with welcome finance suceeded and they awarded me £2700.00 BUT said that because there was an outstanding balance that amount had been held back to offset the debt. However as far as I am concerned the debt was written off in 2010 Jan and since then it has been sold on to MKDP LLP. What chance have I got? Please let me know.

With Nationwide they sent a 4-page document full of disputes and counter allegations and concluded that i was rightfully sold PPI.!!
    Well what do I do?
    Please help me. Thanks!!
