Barclays will send you a questionnaire to fill in.

I did wonder that but when hubby asked if he needed to complete a questionnaire they said no! Oh dear, I feel Barclays are going to be a nightmare to deal with already!

If nothing comes in the post this week then we will get one in the post to them :)

I have an unsecured loan and mortgage with Northern Rock, I have never agreed to PPI, if this is included will it show on my mortgage statement?

    Thanks in advance.

The Mortgage question you need to post here

    They know more about MPPI.

To find out if you had PPI on the loan you need the agreement, or ring NR and ask, if you have the account number.

If you did have PPI on this loan and you paid the PPI in with the loan payment each month, this is Single Premium PPI that is put on the loan to term end with interest, this is the most upheld of all PPI claims.

    Hi beverley,

This is great news. Hope it will be with you very soon:):)
  • I successfully reclaimed £1710 back from HSBC for a loan I took out in 2005. Having read through these forums earlier this year there was not much regarding HSBC success stories so I applied expecting the worst. I used the template recommended by Martin & the team, amended it where required, photocopied it and sent it to HSBC.
About 4 weeks later I received a letter thanking me for my query and requesting that I fill out the Ombudsman form which is what I had initially filled out! Undeterred I filled out the form once again (copying the photocopied form from the first time around!) and sent the form in the prepaid envelope they had included in the letter. Roughly 4 weeks later I received an apologetic letter stating that they would repay me for missold PPI! The letter stated I could expect to receive the funds within about 4weeks into my chosen account. Two weeks later after checking my account the money had been deposited and within a few days of that I had another letter confirming the money had been paid. I am so grateful for the tips and advice Martin and his team put on this site and I would urge anyone to check whether they are eligible for a repayment. I am chuffed to bits and can now breathe a sigh of relief as my bank balance looks the healthiest it has been in years!!! :j

They really should stop sending that form letter to everyone whether they've filled out a questionnaire or not.
Regardless, well done on your success!

I spoke to Hbos regarding two credit cards and a loan I had with them at the beginning of February, got word that they have upheld the one of the credit cards and will be paying me out around £4310:j:j:j delighted. The other credit card is still being investigated
They also said that the loan was still being dealt with, this is now into its 11th week, the problem being that although the acknowledgement letter they sent me said they were looking into my loan account, it turns out they were still looking at my credit card it took a great deal of time and explaining that these were two different accounts, spoke to there ppi advisor today who said they were sorry about the time this was taking and that it was now prioritised but could not give me a time scale but stated I would not have to wait another 8 weeks for resolution. Anyone any idea how long this should take now.
