    Good afternoon everyone.
News of a great result, Loans from Nat west, 2002 - 2010
After waiting the Full 8 weeks they have told me of a 16k Return !!!
In contrast Lloyds have just told me they are not upholding my
complaint on my loan, I was self employed and it was front loaded, yet they say after detailed investigation i have been turned down. I have contacted the FOB and they say Lloyds will not even have looked at it they will just have waited 8 weeks then turned me down.
    Shocking Tactics.
I am waiting on my credit card from nat west, off course its not front loaded so i guess i have less chance, am i correct in thinking that ??
    :j:j:j:j:j:j Wow, well done
The Lloyds is a win, hang on in there.
The Natwest one may get upheld, depends on the reasons you gave for mis sell, fingers crossed.

I have received a letter from HSBC offering me just over £2k which I am happy with. It took them 7 weeks to make the offer and that time included me sending my original claim, a second letter with the financial ombudsman form and a couple of letters from HSBC.

I detailed my reasons in a separate thread, but I basically said it was inappropriate for my needs and it was front loaded. I thought it would be too old (it went back to 2000), but it would appear not. I still had all the paperwork because I’m a hoarder, which was fortunate. It probably sped up the process as I didn’t have to wait for them to send me this info.

I’m waiting for the money to go into my bank and then I’ll ring the tax office (grudgingly but necessary) to organise paying the tax, and then I’m going to buy a new blingtastic bicycle with what's left :j

Thanks to everyone who contributes to this site and especially Moneyineptitude and amersall who answered my queries on my thread.

:T:T:T:T Brill :beer: you are very welcome :D

"Oh that would be a different department", so I asked why not look on the computer to see whether the letter was recorded, but they do not have access to other departments records. I have insisted on a manager call-back. Will update!!!

Good god what are they doing? good job you contacted them though as you could have been waiting ages thinking this was being sorted and they have not received it!!!.

It is possible they have it, so i would wait for the manager to call you back, if they have not got this tell them you want the cost of another certificate, tell him you do not need this stress at this time.

I have finally had the "manager's call back" basically it was not worth the bother, they claim never to have had my paperwork, they do not keep records of initial contact(!!!) she has not the authority to agree to refund the cost of another death certificate. So I start again, though part of me says forget it, it's only upsetting me.
This is disgusting, put a complaint into the bank regarding this and tell them you are putting a complaint into FOS.
  • Today I finally got the full payment of £15,500 from Lloyds for my loan. I'm now waiting for them to sort out my credit card claim. I never would have done it if it weren't for MSE . Thank you!

    Hi all

I have been reading this forum for a little while and thought it would be good to post as have just started the ball rolling with regards to PPI.

Last week I sent off a questionnaire to M&S for a loan I had a few years back. Luckily, I still had the original paperwork. I am waiting for paperwork for my current Lloyds loan from the bank (no idea what I've done with the original!) and also from Lloyds details of my old credit card. Interestingly, I went to my local branch to see if they could trace my old cc number and they had no record of it and nor do I on my online banking. I had a cc from 1990 to 2007 so that was a bit strange but they gave me an address to write to, to get details. Since then I have found a letter from Sentinal with my account details on which is a relief.

My husband had 2 credit cards which have been settled but no paperwork either (we are not horders!). He rang Barclays last week and although they would not give him the account numbers, once they knew it was to do with PPI, the man on the end of the telephone said that they take complaints very seriously and no need to fill out a questionnaire but would put it over to the PPI team and to await correspondence. No questions asked! Not quite sure what to make of that.

Anyway, that is enough ramblings from me. I hope at least one of them is upheld - similar reasons for most of them. We shall see.........

I applied to claim mis-sold ppi from Nationwide. They wrote a very long winded letter to me and concluded that I was sold the PPI caim correctly! They claim that the optional credit insurance was my responsiblity to opt in or out.
I need help! What do I do now?

In another claim to Welcome finance they admited the claim BUT wrote to me and told me that the £2400.00 or so owed in PPI claim will go to offset the balance at close of the account. I am aware that the debt was written off! Do I have a case?
    Help someone please.

Was the Nationwide a loan or a Credit card?.

If a debt is written off and at that point you still owed money, then they can take this back I am afraid.
