PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Hi I have been trawling through the successess of reclaiming mis-sold ppi over the last few weeks. Really inspired by the stories I've read. I put a complaint in to Black Horse about 4 weeks ago. They have responded to say they are looking into it. Just wondering if anyone has had any success from them??
Thanks
Yes £11,000.00+ but had to go to the fos as they refused my request, but the fos soon put them straightGood luck:rotfl:

You defo need to go to fos, i did about a front loaded loan from the black horse, and they agreed straight away that it was misold. I will be receiving £11,000.00+
Go for it and good luck
Thanks - I will definitely go to FOS then. Thanks for the advice. I haven't had the letter yet so will wait to see what it says and may come back for more advice if I'm confused (quite likely!).Success so far:
Bank charges refund plus interest: over £6000 :j
Mortgage PPI refund plus interest: over £9000 :j

This is odd!! front loaded is the main reason for mis sell and the most upheld of all PPI reclaim.
What exactly did they say were their reasons for not upholding and was this the final response?.
Apparently a letter was sent to me on 3rd April so I expect it will arrive in the next few days. I'll post then their exact reasons. The guy on the phone couldn't tell me the reasons as only part of the letter would show on his screen but he said I'd been sent what they call a defence letter. A girl I work with prompted me to claim after she was paid out by same bank for 3 loans and a credit card - I gave same reasons so no let's see what their reasons are??!!Success so far:
Bank charges refund plus interest: over £6000 :j
Mortgage PPI refund plus interest: over £9000 :j

Dear all,
I posted on here about a month and half ago about 5 loans which I had consolidated over time with HSBC. I registered my complaint about PPI insurance with them over the phone and they wrote me their standard letter and enclosed the standard forms to complete. About three weeks later they wrote to me saying my claim on all five loans had been upheld and they would be paying me back over 10k. I nearly fainted. I sent their form back on the Monday and the cash went into my account on the Friday.
Without reading all these threads I don't think I would have bothered- so thank you all.
The even better news is that I finished paying the loans back last year so the money will go towards a deposit for a house.
Good luck everyone

This site has potentially saved many many lives!
I don't say that lightly. Debt is a soul destroying thing.
For the first time in my adult life i feel i can breath.
Halifax over £4k
MBNA over £1K
Egg over £8k
I am also still waiting replys from others.
Dont suffer in silence. Hardest thing i ever had to do was tell the wife. But she is my hero how she supported me:T0 -
£800 from First Direct went into my account yesterday. This is for a Front Loaded loan.
Also a letter from The AA came this morning over PPI on monthly payment plan for Home Insurance offering refund. It's only £10 but not bad for 1 email and 5 mins work. I guess they thought that a good will gesture was cheaper than if I went to the FOS0 -
I have an MBNA Credit card, I cancelled the PPI on it in Nov 05 but have a statement that shows I was paying in in 2001. I cannot remember when the account started - how do I claim? and would I have a valid claim?
Any advice appreciated - Thanks0 -
a third success this week £1147 back from citi card to go with the £1956 from lloyds tsb and £1450 from welcome finance. :j0
