I recently complained to Firstplus about mis sold PPi, they sent me a letter saying that the loan i took out in 2003 was brokered to CT Capital Bank and i would have to pursue the complaint with them.

On contacting CT Capital they said they had not received any correspondence from Firstplus so took all my details and said they would search their system with regards to the complaint.

Spoke to CT Capital today and they have said there is no correspondence on their system to show that i had a loan or insurance with them and they said their system goes as far back as th 90s, so they said get back in touch with Firstplus. On doing so Firstplus have said they have sent me a letter detailing that CT Capital were the brokers and they gave you the loan, i told them that CT Capital have said that im not on their system so they did not give me the loan, Firstplus said there is nothing they can do and said for me to go to the FOS, any advice would be appreciated.

If FP could find you and CT are telling the truth that they cannot find you then you have to telephone the FOS and ask what you do in this situation, as FP could find you to tell you that CT were the broker, then by the same logic CT should find you.

It could be that CT have archived your loan and you may need to send a request for all info they hold on you.

You could contact FP again and ask for paperwork that shows this loan was brokered by CT, they may just be playing silly beggars.
  • Hi everyone.

I have just spoken with lloyds tsp about a loan I took out, it was for £27,500 and over 5 years. There told me on the phone the ppi was £1954.00. This was back in 2006. They are going to send me out a claim form then come back to me. I explained to the chap on the phone I was miss sold due to I was self employed and my parents acted as security for the loan. I was also not informed about ppi fees ect.

In a nut shell, what kind of offer do you think I would receive from Lloyds. I'm dealing with them directly with this.

It's a large loan so I'm hoping for a good pay out.

Any help out be well received.

    Thanks in advance.

    Ben

If you win mis sell you get the PPI back and the 8%, if the loan was settled early then they would have given you a rebate of the PPI and they will take this back from the redress you receive.

CT capital 100% confirmed that i did not have the loan with them, they said i would have been on the system as it goes back to the 90's, they also admitted that if i had been on there then they would have used the "time barred" rejection as they were not regulated in 2003, i asked the question.

Then you need to find out from FP who the insurer was, put the claim into the Insurer and if they say no then the FOS will help with this.

Nothing about this post surprises me. The words "smoke" and "mirrors" come to mind.:(

Hi can you help me im confused with this out of my latest email
Hi all could you help me understand a part of my latest email as follows

£2612.14 however we will not pay the PPIpremiums on this case, the Personal Loan Service Centre will refund this at the end of restructuring your loan. We will therefore pay you £716.62 which is the interest at 8%

does this mean there now not paying us £2612.14 and only £716.62?

we had letter saying they where paying £2612.14 and now this so i am confused

are they allowed to go back on there orignal offer?
