good day to you all.
i have a claim in with lloydstsb at the moment and the query i have is about the 8 weeks.
1) is it from date of claim
2) is it from date of acknowledgement (date letter wrote from them)or
3) date i received acknowledgement letter.
i made a phone call to them today and got a foreign speaking lady who did not commit any sort of answer just saying i will hear within the 8 week period but what 8 week period i am still in the dark.
great these people in manila will not commit to any thing.
any ideas pls0 -
Your case sounds exactly the same as mine even down to the dates!
I received a letter from FOS at the end of Feb stating the same and it also said that Lloyds have advised a total of eight weeks to calculate the refund with interest etc and to make the payment. I posted on this forum a couple of days ago to enquire whether anyone had been through the same scenario and Di kindly told me that she had, and that the refund was made during this period however I think there is still significant delays for others.
In terms of your question as to who to contact, I was told by the FOS that all dealings would need to be done with Lloyds now that they have agreed to uphold the complaint so the ball is back in their court however if you have any concerns regarding the timeframe to which they are working or if you're not happy with what's in the offer letter when it (finally!) arrives, you can contact the FOS for them to become involved again.
Hope this helps.
Just spoken to the FOS and they are still saying Lloyds will send me a letter, but Lloyds are saying that they are waiting for FOS to send them the acceptance back in writing, Have you had any wrod on what the situation is on yours yet?0 -

It is from the day they have received your complaint
The people in Manila are not equipped to do anything else but to read from a script. If it falls outside of it they will be very polite and keep repeating the same thing.
The same thing happened to me.
Call back, if you still get a foreigner ask to be put through to someone based in England and hopefully they will be able to tell you what is going on.
Good luck:)0 -
Does anyone know if the FSCS are slow at sending claim forms out?
I spoke to them a week ago, and they raised a claim and said they will send me forms, but still not had anything in the post yet.0 -

Got an offer from Northern Rock in the post today
The claim was for misselling of ppi on a £40,000 mortgage which I took out 51/2 years ago. The offer is refund of all premiums paid £862.68 plus interest £213.19 offer £1,075.87. Stupidly I went with a claims management company as this was done before I stumbled across this great site, but at least this claims company take 15% + vat which is a little better than what some others are charging.
Reading everyone's posts on here for a number of weeks gave me the confidence to send of claims to egg/barclaycard and capitol one so fingers crossed for those, will keep you updated0 -

Please don't, this is LLOYDS we are talking about and I wouldn't want anything bad happening to you!0 -
:j Been on phone to Lloyds TSB.... Just found out we have been awarded £4074 for three loans dated 2000, 2001 and 2002 - all paid off within a year and rolled into one another.
You all have been fab, and this site has been amazing. Thanks for all the replies to my queries.
Good luck to everyone else.
PS: Does anyone know if I can put the interest for this amount in this tax return for this year 2011/2012 or whether you have to wait until you get money. It is just I have some of my tax allowance left from this year.0
