I will write to the bank tomorrow asking for details of all loans and see what i get back.
You probably won't get much from them by just writing, but it's worth a go, you never know
As the loans were so long ago they may have no records of them but at least you have details of two of them. If you get no joy with a simple letter fill in a separate questionnaire for each of these and photocopy the documents you have to support them and send them off recorded or special delivery. Keep copies of everything and record dates.
I personally would get these sent off now regardless of asking for details of loans, you will only be delaying thingsSuccesses

Hi All, I posted on here on the 16th March that I was claiming back PPI from loans from Lloyds Tsb. I made one phone call on the 7th feb and was told that I have had 5 loans dating from May 2002 right up to Jan 2008, finishing Jan 2011, all with PPI, I received a confirmation letter just under a week later stating that they were looking into my claim.
I have just come home from work to find a letter with an offer of £3.110.13 for the whole 5 loans, 3 were quite small and the other 2 were 2,000 and 3,000 over 3 years, the last one refinancing previous loan. :j:j:j:j:j I am really happy with this outcome as I thought I would receive a rejection, my reasons for mis-selling were that I was basically told that I would not get the loan without the PPI, and that they never informed me that I was paying interest on the PPI also. In my letter it says that I just need to wait for either a cheque or they will pay it in to my account, it also says " In the light of the delay you have experienced we are working to arrange payment on your case as a priority". It took basically less than six weeks from start to finish as the letter was dated 15th March.:j:j:j:D:D:D:T:T:T I had thought about claiming last year but did not really make my mind up till I found this forum and read other peoples posts.
:D:j Thank you so much to Martin :money::money::money: and everyone involved with this forum for giving me the confidence to go ahead with this claim.:T:T:T:T::beer::beer::T:T:T:T. I have been telling all my workmates about this forum and to just go ahead and claim you have nothing to lose. :T:T Thanks again :j:beer::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::A:A:A:A

Dear northWalesMoneySaver, I had a loan from 1997 with Lloyds TSB, which included PPI (I had kept no paperwork relating to this). I went to one of the branches I used frequently (any branch will do). I gave the details of my previous address and the account I thought I had taken the loan out on (this is not that important, since Lloyds keep details for a long, long, time). The kind lady filled in a form on my behalf (being self-employed and the fact that I would not get a loan without PPI was all a mis-sell). It took at the most 5 minutes and was faxed through to the PPI department. Forget doing a SAR (Subject Access Request), which will cost £10 (relevant omissions are rife). Go to your local branch, and good luck!! PPS Don't let any bank fob-you-off, which Lloyds may do - follow through with each mis-sold claim.0

Thanks for the advice.
I still bank at the same branch, although i've changed my address a few times its the same account ive had since i was about 7 years old. My local branch has very helpful staff, i'll pop in there on Monday. Sounds like an easy way to do it!0 -
Also, I know what I am now posting, does not fit here. I have a Section 75 against Lloyds (who fobbed me off from day one, and who could not even be bothered to answer my two 'Letters before Action' prior to the small claims court). Anyway, I digress, if you are on Working Tax Credit (this is just one example, there's loads more) you get a full remission from paying a small claims court fee (possibly other court fees - this needs checking). The reason I am posting here, is that it may help some of you sound people in the future!0

Dear northWalesMoneySaver, I was amazed at how easy it was (myself). I thought 1997, details (probably nil), but it was really easy.. What I would suggest is (since the fax sheet is quite small), be prepared with your answers regarding mis-selling (in my case it was because I was self-employed and I was told that the chance of my gettng a loan without PPI was nil). Good luck!!0

What were you reclaiming:A loan
Who was the provider: Sainsburys Bank
How much did you get back: £2502.36
Refund of Premiums £ 608.36
Refund of Interest £ 209.32
Early Settlement Diff £1,296.83
Interest @ 8% £ 387.85
Total £2502.36
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: I requested a copy of my credit agreement on 20th January, upon receipt I noticed that there was a pre ticked box for PPI and I remember at the time they insisted that they had a courier service wait while you signed the documents and then handed over your cheque. I therefore filled out a template form from here a few days later, stating that I signed where indicated as I felt under pressure not to take too long as someone was waiting at my door.
I received a standard letter acknowledging my complaint on 13th February- Letter with response on 6th March.
Interest payment up to 3rd April so I assume I won't be receiving a payment before then.
Not too sure I understand the Early settlement difference? I did pay it off early, does that indicate that I was charged for a % of the total PPI when I cleared my loan? Can anyone advise? Just for clarity more than anything else.
Thanks to everyone for the info on this site it really is fab :T:T. I have 3 other claims out at the moment, 1 with Tesco (response due by the EOM) and 2 With Egg. They won't be for a lot but it all helps.
I received my cheque for this yesterday, so earlier than I expected
Also went home to 2 small claims upheld from egg for old loans for £121.27 & £311.14. I'm just waiting on one more from Tesco for which 8 weeks is up on Tuesday 27th.
To anyone reading and wondering whether to give it a try or not....do it, it doesn't take much time and it costs the price of a stamp :j
Thanks again to all on here for the good advice, i'm doing a few claims for my friend too, so hopefully we will see if anything comes from them.0 -
Your case sounds exactly the same as mine even down to the dates!
I received a letter from FOS at the end of Feb stating the same and it also said that Lloyds have advised a total of eight weeks to calculate the refund with interest etc and to make the payment. I posted on this forum a couple of days ago to enquire whether anyone had been through the same scenario and Di kindly told me that she had, and that the refund was made during this period however I think there is still significant delays for others.
In terms of your question as to who to contact, I was told by the FOS that all dealings would need to be done with Lloyds now that they have agreed to uphold the complaint so the ball is back in their court however if you have any concerns regarding the timeframe to which they are working or if you're not happy with what's in the offer letter when it (finally!) arrives, you can contact the FOS for them to become involved again.
Hope this helps.
Just an update, I phoned Lloyds this morning and they said today that they are waiting an acceptance in writing from the FOS, I did tell them the FOS told Lloyds on 05.03 that I had Accepted but apparently they need it in writing. So I am going to phone the FOS and ask them the question. I will let you know0 -
Hi all,
Don't normally post on this thread, but had become interested in putting in a PPI Claim, and this thread has been very helpful.
I managed to dig out a loan agreement that I had with HSBC, that I finally paid off in January. The loan was for 11,420 with £2,480 PPI, making a total of £13,900. With interest I paid £16,976 over 62 months.
I telephoned HSBC and they were really good, informing me that they had loan agreement numbers, and PPI policy numbers for loans dating back to 2002. I was like others on the thread, and just rolled one loan into another (Never any mention of PPI).I have put in a claim to them, writing to the address HSBC gave me.
I have also put SARS into AUDI car finance, MOTONOVO car finance, BARCLAYCARD, and MBNA. I found the details of the finance from my credit report, and got nowhere when I phoned Barclaycard for help, they said they could not find me at all!
I will report back my journey, and also the outcome of my claims. Thanks to Martin, all who run the threads, and who post!!!
