THANK-YOU once again for another very detailed answer to me(I love you peeps on here). I cannot believe that these (oooo can't think of a non abusive word for them) companies can get away with it. Do you know what, if I had n't already found out how easy it is to do it myself I could easily have been conned!!! I'm not a very confident person and I'm not so good on a computer either (it's my age). It's like when I ask questions on here you must think I'm an idiot but, that's how you learn about things is n't it. That's another cuppa I owe you too!!! Shall I put the kettle on? LOL.
I want something STRONGER THAN TEA :rotfl::rotfl:
I was a newbie once upon a time, i asked what were stupid questions but no one batted an eyelidDi was the first one to welcome me to the forum :A i like to think we are friends now
we are all just one big happy family, a little insane at times :rotfl::rotfl:

Hi All I wish to send a formal complaint to Lloyds Tsb,what is the best address to send it too.Have had the runaround over C/Cards since last July, past a joke ken
You can put it into a local branch or do it over the phone, if you wish to write, this is the address
Lloyds Banking Group, Customer Services, BX1 1LT.
0845 3 000 000
While you are at it, put a complaint into FOS, the way these claims are being dealt with is disgusting, if everyone complained, then maybe something will get done.0 -

I have been told on here my Nat west loan was front loaded,
when i complained to Nat west i didnt mention this, will that be
held against me or should they see that in there investigation.
Also i have read on the FOS site that 99% of Nat west PPI complaints are upheld. Do Nat west normally turn you down
and hope you dont go to the FOS ?
Many Thanks and keep up the great work.
Hopefully you will get upheld if you were mis sold, if they reject you then go back with the front loaded reason, you could phone them and ask them to add this to your complaint.
I know the front loaded ppi has a higher success rate for mis sell.0 -
Just though I would put an update on here. I originally complained back in May 2011 to Lloyds, received a rejection letter with no reason on the letter, to cut a long story short I sent it to FOS in October 2011 and FOS finally come back to me 20.02.2012 stating Lloyds would now uphold my complaint and Lloyds would send me a letter I have phoned a couple of times for an update on when I am going to receive payment but they said its not been done yet. I sent an email to Tim Tookey and there reply is we are dealing with the FOS you need to contact them for an update. where do I go from here?
You have to contact FOS they are dealing with this now and that is why Lloyds will not help you.0 -

Thanks for that, the figure upheld against the big banks looks amazing, So hopefully get it anyway. Any idea why the front loaded is the most mis sold.0 -
WTG kirstym1 :T are you clearing the balance left on the loan voluntarily, if so good move
Good luck with the others

As long as you are happy because they should not automatically use it to pay off the loan if there are no arrears on it. Like you say one less thing to worry about :TSuccesses

Just thought if report on a PPI success with HSBC. I took a loan out in 2001 for £15000 payable over 5 years. I was told i could not take the loan wuthout PPI. I had shredded all of my paperwork a couple of years ago and thought I wouldn't have a chance at reclaiming but thought would follow the advice on the forum and asked the bank for copy of the t&c attached the loan. I requested this in an email, within 2 days the bank rang me asking if I was making a complaint and they took the information over the phone. Within 4 weeks they sent me a letter with an offer for £5400 inc 8% interest, was not expecting anything in this region! I accepted and the money was deposited in my account within the week. Amazing how quick and painless it was..all for the sake of an email. If you think you were misold I would really recommend making the complaint!!
Hi pumpkin,
Well done on your success with HSBC!!! :T
It sounds like you did not have much of a fight with them?
I had 2 loans in 2005 and 2006 and they claim they have no documentation so are unable to confirm if I had PPI.
I shredded all my paperwork too but am sure I did have it and it was mis-sold for various reasons! Looks like its going to be a long one for me!!
Can I ask if that was the only reason you quoted in your claim?
Many thanks0 -
Hi all
Another First Plus success here. I wrote initially complaining about a ppi on a current loan. However the responded very quickly and upheld my claim, they also without any prompting from me agreed to pay back ppi on a loan i'd finished paying in 2005 which i wasn't expecting.
So that gives me a PPI payback of just under £11,000
Pretty pleased to be honest especially on getting the old loans ppi back without any word from me
Cheers0 -
Had some good news today. MBNA have upheld my PPI reclaim and I will be getting a cheque for the sum of £1,105.29 within the next 28 days.
Sent off my completed reclaim form only 3 weeks ago and was very pleased to get a letter from them today. The payment to me is made up of :
Total amount of PPI charged since sale date - £561.59
Total amount of associated interest - £512.64
Applicable 8% interest (got to declare £31.06 to HMRC)
Total amount payable to me - £1105.29
I'm happy so far, especially at the speed in which MBNA responded. I just hope the others go as smoothly :j:j:jAlways looking for a good deal :money:0
