Hiya everyone after a few weeks of reading everyones posts of successes I can now say I have one. I called Halifax today for an update on my front loaded loan from 2006 and the lady read a letter out to me which they posted yesterday and they have upheld my complaint!!! The money will clear the balance left on the loan which is fantastic. Only took one phone call and a 4 week wait now just got to wait on HSBC, Virgin and Barclaycard. Thanks to everyone on here for the helpful posts and a big thank you to Martin Lewis I never expected to get anything so very happy xx0

Haha nice one Amersall!;)
I don't even know if the amounts with interest were what I should have been owed but I didn't have paperwork for some of them and I doubt they did either! I was just glad to pay off any debts I had left:D:D
Gringo2000 is on a different page - the Lloyds TSB PPI payment part of the forum!
Thanks again, have a beer on me! :beer:0 -

so nothing as yet ....rather annoying I didnt expect the bank to drag their backsides in refunding .... but Ill see what happens if not Ill be sending an e-mail to the boss of Lloyds ....any idea who he is lol and one other Q if anyone can shed some light will they have automatically taken the ppi off my current loan as the letter states its just a payment is due tomorrow and Im curious to see what happens do they take it off and leave the payments the same or do they adjust your payment without the ppi added on
Much appreiciated

They can not go any faster than the bank will do the claim, some banks are quick and you get the money fast, some do not, they will tell people anything to reel them in, give a claim to me and i will complete and have the money in your bank in a week
;)
They are liars, just like me:D:D and not to be trusted

They can not get it back any quicker than yourself, it's all b******t to get you on board. Once they have you on board it's 25% + vat minimum on everything that that one complaint brings up :mad:0

I was n't thinking of going with one as we're doing sort of alright on our own, but I was watching the telly and I saw this advert and thought to myself how can this possibly work? So from an initial phone call its all downhill from there!!! Do people have to sign anything? Could they just go ahead from this phone call? What about signatures and loan account numbers? What happens if after you start with them you change your mind and go it alone? Sounds awful to me.
They have to send you a contract to sign to then go on and make the claim, if you want to cancel this contract you have to do so within 14 days, if they do the claim without you signing the contract then they can be reported to the Claims company regulator.
They try every trick in the book to get you to let them make the claim, they entice people by telling them they have ppi and can get thousands back, they have no clue what ppi you have or how much the claim can potentially be, they cannot get any info on any of your accounts.
They can say they can get you the money within a short space of time, they cannot make a claim go any faster than the bank allows them to, they have no more power over the banks or FOS than you or I.
They are a bunch of crooks in my opinion, they are only out to make money for the least outlay this is the cost of a stamp to post the claim form to the bank that the customer fills in, all the info regarding the account, getting account numbers, doing the Sar if you need one, is all done by the customer.
Best thing to do is steer clear.0
