I'm happy to say that I wrote 3 letters for my Mum 5 weeks ago to MBNA, HBOS and Sainsburys. Put simply, she had a heart attack 15 years ago and was not informed about the pre-existing limitations during any of the sales.
MBNA came back within 3 weeks, upholding the complaint and offering full refund plus interest.
HBOS came back within 4 weeks - full refund plus interest
Now just waiting for Sainsburys - I know how busy the complaints teams must be, so am really surprised at the turnaround for the first 2 - happy to wait the full 8 weeks for the final one to come through.
Needless to say - I am Mum's favourite right now!
Fabulous results saras :T
Sainsbury's are quite good but it will have been passed onto Bank of Scotland. they sorted mine in 11 weeks total but that was when they had 16 weeks to decide
I bet you have always been mum's favourite, this has just cemented itwell done

Hi, I am new to this forum so any help would be appreciated.
I had a credit card with morgan Stanley from 2001 onwards and was paying minimum payment which I believe was just paying the interest. ( I worked abroad so didn't get any statements etc), I did a balance transfer in 2007 to virgin.
I have been trying to check out if I was paying Ppi but don't have any paperwork or account info.
I have contacted morgan Stanley who have passed me onto Barclaycard saying they took over their business and giving precise dates I joined and addresses they said they couldn't find any info.
I then sent a £10 postal order to Barclaycard with my details on for a SARS ( does this make sense?) and they have come back saying they cannot find me either.
Where do I go from here,
Many thanks.
